AMVAC Rebrands Crop Protection Products Acquired from MANA

As part of its strategic growth plan, AMVAC has added several new products to the U.S. crop portfolio in 2017, most notably recent acquisitions: Abba (abamectin) insecticide/miticide; EQUUS (chlorothalonil) fungicide; and ParaZone (paraquat) herbicide.

AMVAC has made great progress in integrating these brands on all fronts, including sourcing, registrations, marketing, sales, and customer communications, according to a company release.  AMVAC now owns these trademarks and has rebranded the products.

“We have enjoyed sales from all three brands and will soon transition our packaging and labeling to the AMVAC brands and add the products to the AMVAC website,” according to a statement in the release.

New logos and branding have been created for three other new products:

  • INDEX insecticide. A new liquid at-plant OP insecticide that has provided excellent corn rootworm control in trials. Registered by EPA and in the process of launching, with first sales expected in 2018.
  • IMPACTZ herbicide: EPA registration pending, full launch in 2018 on corn: A value-added brand of topramazone and atrazine.
  • ACROPOLIS fungicide: Registered and launched in 2017 for use on soybeans.
