Indian Growers Face Fungal Attacks

Punjab-based potato and pea growers have been warned about potential attacks of late blight disease and rust that could damage their crops, according to a report in the Times of India.

Experts from the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) conducted a survey and found late blight disease on potatoes and rust on peas in several villages of Hoshiarpur district. The PAU experts suggested farmers use fungicides containing the active ingredient propineb or mancozeb.
