Bayer AG has named a new chief financial officer who, among other duties, will lead the integration of Monsanto Co. if the two companies’ merger is approved, reports Steph Kukuljan on the St. Louis Business Journal website.
Wolfgang Nickl will be appointed to Bayer’s supervisory board in April 2018 and will succeed Johannes Dietsch as CFO on June 1, Bayer said Tuesday. Dietsch announced his resignation with Bayer in April this year.
“In Wolfgang Nickl, we are pleased to have found a successful manager with a proven track record in the field of finance and many years of experience abroad,” Werner Wenning, chairman of Bayer’s supervisory board, said in a statement.
Nickl currently serves as executive vice president and CFO at ASML Holding N.V., a Netherlands-based supplier of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry.
