PMFAI Appeals India’s Ban on 13 Products

The Pesticides Manufacturers & Formulators Association of India (PMFAI) sent a letter of appeal to the Joint Secretary and the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare appealing a decision of the Registration Committee to ban 13 agrochemical products immediately and phase out another six products over the next five years. The 13 products are benomyl, carbaryl, DDT, diazinon, fenarimol, fenthion, linuron, MEMC, methyl parathion, sodium cyanide, thiometon, tridemorph, and trifluralin.
