Willowood Gets EPA Approval for Herbicide

Willowood USA announced today that U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has approved its Willowood Mesotrione 4SC product.

Willowood Mesotrione 4SC is a long-lasting, broad spectrum, residual herbicide used primarily for the control of tough broadleaf weeds in corn.

“Although our portfolio of products has grown significantly since our company’s formation in 2009, we have had a gap in our lineup of corn herbicides,” states Brian Heinze, Willowood USA President and CEO. “As one of the leading corn herbicides in American agriculture, the launch of Willowood Mesotrione 4SC quickly fills that gap.”

With already approved state registrations, Willowood USA plans to market Willowood Mesotrione 4SC in time for the 2016 U.S. corn market.

“With the challenging commodity price situation this season, we will now be able to offer U.S. corn growers with a generic alternative to the higher priced name brand products,” said Casey Daniel, Willowood USA National Account
Manager.
