Dr. Gharda, who founded Gharda Chemcials in 1967 and continues to serve an important role in the company, has received the Padma Shri award. The Padma Shri is considered the fourth highest civilian award in the Republic of India. Gharda received the honor from the Government of India, which is announced every year on India’s Republic Day.
