Arysta LifeScience Vietnam Launches KASAITM-S Fungicide

Arysta LifeScience Vietnam announced the launch of KASAITM-S 92SC, a broad-spectrum fungicide for control of rice blast and leaf diseases.
“New KASAI-S provides a synergistic effect of its two active ingredients,” said Takashi Kogiso, regional business manager, South Asia and China, Arysta LifeScience. “Kasugamycin has a curative effect, and tricyclazole is preventive. KASAI-S offers rice farmers a total solution by controlling both panicle blast and leaf disease, which are becoming more common in rice in recent years.”
The fungicide was developed in collaboration with Hokko Chemical and Dow AgroSciences, in 2008. KASAI-S is the first “blasticide” in suspension concentrate (SC) formulation in Vietnam.
“Other products containing the same active ingredient are only available in wettable powder formulations,” added Kogiso. “Suspension concentrates are one of the most stable and safest formulations for farmers and the environment. KASAI-S has an excellent safety profile, and it is suitable for tank mix with other pesticides.”
KASAI-S is being manufactured at the company’s new SC formulation plant in Song Than II Industrial Zone, Binh Duong province, which came online in May and is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia.
