Meghmani to Expand 2,4-D Capacity in Dahej

Meghmani Organics Limited announced it is planning to further expand its capacity of 2,4-D acid by constructing a new plant in Dahej, India.

The company, which is amidst an expansion and has new registrations in Brazil, USA and other markets, has already started work on the plant, which will take its capacity to 20,000 tons per annum.

Meghmani expects its expansion to complete by end of year 2018, and the plant should be operational by beginning of 2019.

Meghmani is a manufacturer and exporter of various agrichemical products with presence in over 85 countries worldwide. The company has three manufacturing sites located in western part of India and is currently involved in manufacturing of synthetic pyrethroids, organophosphates, phenoxy herbicides and several other chemistries. Meghmani is one of the major producers of 2,4-D in India with current Capacity of 10000 tons per annum. It is fully backward integrated with Chlorine and potassium hydroxide from its own subsidiary company Meghmani Fine Chem limited.
