Sri Lanka Lifts Ban on Glyphosate

Sri Lanka’s National Economic Council (NEC) has decided to lift a ban imposed on glyphosate, in light of overwhelming scientific consensus that the substance is not harmful to human health, according to an article by Daily FT.

The ban will be lifted on all crops except rice, and is expected to be widely welcomed by the country’s tea industry.
