La ICSCE 2026 de PMFAI reúne a líderes mundiales en insumos agrícolas en Dubái

ICSCE 2026 attracted more than 1,100 registered delegates, including 253 international participants from 43 countries, reflecting the event’s growing global relevance.
La conferencia LATAM de Asociación de Fabricantes y Formuladores de Plaguicidas de la India (PMFAI) Agribusiness Foundation marked a major milestone with the 22nd edition of the International Crop Science Conference & Exhibition (ICSCE), held January 18-20, 2026, at the Le Meridien Hotel & Conference Centre, Dubai.
Now operating under its new identity as the PMFAI Agribusiness Foundation, the event underscored a broader theme echoed throughout the conference: the need for continuous reinvention in a rapidly evolving global ag inputs industry.
Strong Global Participation
ICSCE 2026 attracted more than 1,100 registered delegates, including 253 international participants from 43 countries, reflecting the event’s growing global relevance. The exhibition floor featured 111 exhibitors, supported by five dedicated meeting rooms designed to facilitate B2B discussions and technical exchange.
“This gathering brings together not just observers of change, but the people who are actively creating the future of agriculture,” organizers noted during the opening session.

The conference opened with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, reflecting PMFAI’s Indian culture while symbolically setting the tone for optimism and collaboration. Pradip Dave, Chairman of Aimco Pesticides, Ltd., and President of PMFAI, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the organization’s evolution since the conference first launched in 1997 and the dramatic growth of India’s agrochemical exports over the past two decades.
ICSCE 2026 was supported by Insecticidas India Ltd. (Diamond Sponsor), Grupo Krishi Rasayan (Platinum Sponsor), and Best AgroLife Ltd. (Emerald Sponsor), with SML Ltd. sponsoring the evening cocktail reception.
Three Key Highlights from ICSCE 2026
Plant Health Takes Center Stage
The keynote address by Dr. Shaza Roshdy Omar, Plant Health Expert and Phytosanitary Specialist with the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC), focused on the role of international plant health systems in supporting sustainable agriculture, particularly in developing countries. Her presentation emphasized prevention, early detection, and harmonized phytosanitary standards as cost-effective tools to protect crops, biodiversity, and food security.
India’s Expanding Role in Global Agrochemicals
Speakers highlighted India’s position as the world’s fourth-largest agrochemical producer and one of the fastest-growing export hubs, supplying products to more than 160 countries. Discussions also addressed how Indian companies are increasingly integrating biologicals and biosolutions into traditional portfolios to meet evolving regulatory and market demands.
A Balanced View of Chemistry and Biologicals
Across sessions, presenters reinforced the idea that sustainable agriculture will depend on integrated solutions, combining crop protection chemistry, biologicals, biostimulants, and digital tools. Multiple talks examined regulatory pressures, supply-chain digitization, and innovation pathways for both established and emerging technologies.
