{"id":134032,"date":"2023-05-01T14:04:45","date_gmt":"2023-05-01T18:04:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.agribusinessglobal.com\/?p=134032"},"modified":"2026-03-03T10:18:44","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T15:18:44","slug":"reevaluating-farming-costs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.agribusinessglobal.com\/es\/agtech\/reevaluating-farming-costs\/","title":{"rendered":"Reevaluaci\u00f3n de costos agr\u00edcolas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o  el papel de la tecnolog\u00eda agr\u00edcola en la producci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola aumenta debido a la presi\u00f3n de los productores para que utilicen pr\u00e1cticas sostenibles para reducir las cargas de agroqu\u00edmicos y aliviar desaf\u00edos como la escasez de mano de obra y las interrupciones en la cadena de suministro.<\/p>\n<p>El Instituto PrecisionAg, en cooperaci\u00f3n con la Asociaci\u00f3n Estadounidense de la Soya (ASA, por sus siglas en ingles),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalagtechinitiative.com\/alliance\/precision-agriculture-higher-profit-lower-cost\/\">recientemente llev\u00f3 a cabo un estudio con productores de soja<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalagtechinitiative.com\/alliance\/precision-agriculture-higher-profit-lower-cost\/\">.<\/a>\u00a0para obtener informaci\u00f3n sobre el retorno de la inversi\u00f3n (ROI, por sus siglas en ingles) para herramientas y tecnolog\u00eda de agricultura de precisi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La encuesta mostr\u00f3 que, para los productores que usan tecnolog\u00eda seg\u00fan lo previsto, hay una recuperaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida. En algunos casos, se logra dentro de una temporada.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.farmprogress.com\/corn\/using-precision-ag-to-save-time-and-money-on-your-corn-and-soybean-farm\"><em>GranjaProgreso<\/em>\u00a0report\u00f3 un ahorro de 35%-40%<\/a>\u00a0en aplicaciones de nitr\u00f3geno (N) vistas por un agricultor estadounidense que us\u00f3 herramientas de detecci\u00f3n remota en aplicaciones de tasa variable para ayudar a monitorear los nutrientes residuales del suelo.<\/p>\n<p>Como la tecnolog\u00eda agr\u00edcola ayuda a los productores a monitorear de cerca las decisiones de gesti\u00f3n de la producci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola, es inevitable encontrar ahorros en los costos. Los productores que usan tecnolog\u00eda agr\u00edcola informan un ahorro promedio de alrededor de 15% en varios insumos de cultivo, como semillas, fertilizantes y productos qu\u00edmicos.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.libelium.com\/\">Libelio<\/a>, empresa de tecnolog\u00eda agr\u00edcola con sede en Zaragoza, Espa\u00f1a, desarroll\u00f3 una puerta de enlace IoT universal para una conexi\u00f3n autom\u00e1tica de sensores para enviar a la nube, (llamada Libelium One), con el objetivo de ayudar a productores a tomar decisiones informadas para reducir el uso de fertilizantes y agua.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAunque depende de cada caso (climatolog\u00eda, tipo de cultivo, zona geogr\u00e1fica), las soluciones IoT de Libelium para agricultura consiguen ahorros de hasta 40% en el uso de fertilizantes y 30% de agua, gracias a la recopilaci\u00f3n de datos y la emisi\u00f3n de insights accionables al agricultor de forma simplificada\u201d, afirma Nuria Muro, directora de Marketing y Comunicaci\u00f3n de Libelium. \u201cTener datos correctivos sobre el uso del agua, la calidad del suelo y el crecimiento de las plantas es crucial para restaurar la tierra a su vitalidad natural. Por ejemplo, si la fertilidad del suelo es baja, los agricultores pueden utilizar datos correctivos para ajustar su rotaci\u00f3n de cultivos o sus pr\u00e1cticas de gesti\u00f3n de fertilizantes\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Los ahorros en insumos a menudo cubren el costo de la tecnolog\u00eda dentro de un a\u00f1o para una operaci\u00f3n grande y de dos a tres a\u00f1os para operaciones m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as. Los productores utilizan cada vez m\u00e1s herramientas de precisi\u00f3n para realizar sus propias comparaciones en su propio terreno.<\/p>\n<p>Empresas como Libelium est\u00e1n trabajando para brindar a los agricultores un f\u00e1cil acceso a la informaci\u00f3n para tomar decisiones decisivas r\u00e1pidas. Empresas como Agri Technovation y Mezzanine, que\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/agritechnovation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Press-Release-MyFarmWeb-Final.pdf\">se asoci\u00f3 para crear MyFarmWeb<\/a>, un ecosistema para agricultores, proveedores de servicios agr\u00edcolas y vendedores de IoT, permite el acceso al mercado digital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSe puede acceder la plataforma interactiva basada en la nube a trav\u00e9s de cualquier navegador, para almacenar, visualizar y comparar todo tipo de mapas, datos geogr\u00e1ficos y agr\u00edcolas de IoT\u201d, dice Dicky Carstens, director ejecutivo de MyFarmWeb.<\/p>\n<p>La plataforma recopila datos de fuentes de terceros y superpone capas de datos para que los productores puedan elegir datos relevantes para tomar decisiones m\u00e1s informadas.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan Carstens su plataforma ayuda a los productores a usar un \u201cm\u00f3dulo de seguimiento de actividades, servicios meteorol\u00f3gicos y seguimiento de telemetr\u00eda del equipo de fumigaci\u00f3n para planificar, ejecutar, monitorear e informar sobre actividades relacionadas con aplicaciones qu\u00edmicas. Si el objetivo es ahorrar en gastos qu\u00edmicos, el agricultor puede monitorear esto a trav\u00e9s de la plataforma\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfQu\u00e9 significa el aumento en el uso de tecnolog\u00eda agr\u00edcola de precisi\u00f3n para la industria agroqu\u00edmica? Derek Oliphant, cofundador de AgbioInvestor, a\u00f1ade que no deber\u00eda disuadir a las empresas de protecci\u00f3n de cultivos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEn nuestra opini\u00f3n, gran parte de la p\u00e9rdida de volumen derivada del mayor uso de tecnolog\u00edas de aplicaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s precisas podr\u00eda compensarse con mayores valores asociados, como tecnolog\u00edas de formulaci\u00f3n avanzadas o mayores m\u00e1rgenes relacionados con menores niveles de competitividad en este sector\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Oliphant. \u201cPor ejemplo, en la mayor\u00eda de los pa\u00edses se requieren autorizaciones adicionales para la aplicaci\u00f3n de drones, lo que conllevar\u00eda costos asociados, lo que se traducir\u00eda en un mayor costo de
