Foto: Adobe Stock<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Ya sea que su inter\u00e9s radique en el creciente mercado de productos biol\u00f3gicos o en las revisiones de los procesos y leyes regulatorias, 2026 traer\u00e1 cambios a los pa\u00edses de Latinoam\u00e9rica. <strong>AgriBusiness Global<\/strong> Habl\u00e9 con tres expertos que compartieron seis consejos clave para lograr el \u00e9xito en los negocios en esta regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00cdndices de deuda<\/h2>\n<p>Para 2026, es importante revisar los \u00edndices de deuda en cada pa\u00eds donde se desee operar. Los aranceles que desencadenan guerras comerciales geopol\u00edticas est\u00e1n afectando los m\u00e1rgenes de los productores, generando dificultades en el sector de la protecci\u00f3n de cultivos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLos grupos muy grandes, especialmente en Brasil y Argentina, tienen algunos problemas financieros\u201d, dice Nicolas Potrie, Director de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tafirel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TAFIREL<\/a>, con sede en Uruguay. \u201cAlgunos revendedores muy grandes est\u00e1n reprogramando sus cuentas porque no pueden afrontar el pago a los proveedores\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Aseg\u00farese de conocer la situaci\u00f3n financiera de la empresa con la que hace negocios, incluso si se trata de una empresa importante.<\/p>\n<h2>Desarrollo sobre el terreno<\/h2>\n<p>Muchos pa\u00edses de Latinoam\u00e9rica no ofrecen un mercado que se adapte a las necesidades de todos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLos peque\u00f1os agricultores, las empresas agroindustriales y los productores orientados a la exportaci\u00f3n trabajan de manera diferente y esperan cosas distintas de sus proveedores\u201d, afirma Javier Chavarro, consultor agroindustrial.<\/p>\n<p>Chavarro recomienda que las empresas inviertan en equipos locales y soporte t\u00e9cnico, y que desarrollen relaciones s\u00f3lidas con sus distribuidores.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConocer los cultivos, las regiones y los desaf\u00edos cotidianos a los que se enfrentan los agricultores ayuda a generar credibilidad y a forjar alianzas a largo plazo\u201d, afirma Chavarro.<\/p>\n<p>Una vez que comprenda bien qu\u00e9 tipo de apoyo a los productos necesita una regi\u00f3n, busque un l\u00edder agr\u00edcola influyente en la zona con quien colaborar para generar confianza en la comunidad agr\u00edcola circundante.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMientras se lleva a cabo el proceso de registro de su producto, invierta en el desarrollo de campo con agricultores l\u00edderes en el segmento de mercado al que desea ingresar\u201d, dice Daniel Traverso, vicepresidente de <a href=\"https:\/\/anasac.co\/home-main\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anasac Colombia y M\u00e9xico<\/a>. \u201cMi consejo es buscar un segmento de mercado de alto valor, no cultivos extensivos. Luego, elija un buen equipo de desarrollo y genere demanda. Esto es crucial antes de empezar a vender. Invierta m\u00e1s en desarrollo que en ventas.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Factores ambientales<\/h2>\n<p>Prestar atenci\u00f3n al suministro local de agua y al cambio clim\u00e1tico es un tema de estudio constante en cada pa\u00eds de Latinoam\u00e9rica. Por ejemplo, Traverso comenta que en Chile, los agricultores tienen dificultades para obtener el agua que necesitan para sus cultivos. Conocer este desaf\u00edo puede ayudar a su equipo de desarrollo a comprender qu\u00e9 productos beneficiar\u00e1n a estos agricultores.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s del suministro de agua, est\u00e1 el clima y su efecto en los rendimientos. Para los pa\u00edses que dependen de las exportaciones agr\u00edcolas, el clima puede determinar el \u00e9xito o el fracaso de una temporada.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSi el verano es La Ni\u00f1a o El Ni\u00f1o, afecta el rendimiento promedio de cada temporada\u201d, dice Potrie. \u201cEsta es una industria de alto riesgo, muy incierta, en la que nadie tiene garant\u00edas sobre la cosecha\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Contar con un equipo que supervise los desaf\u00edos que plantea el cambio clim\u00e1tico y que ofrezca soluciones para ayudar a los agricultores a mejorar sus cosechas.<\/p>\n<h2>Precio y rendimiento<\/h2>\n<p>Los agricultores latinoamericanos buscan una alta rentabilidad de su inversi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLas marcas por s\u00ed solas ya no determinan las decisiones de compra\u201d, afirma Chavarro. \u201cLo que importa es el rendimiento en el mercado y un claro beneficio econ\u00f3mico\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Esto es especialmente cierto en los cultivos b\u00e1sicos, donde los m\u00e1rgenes son ajustados y la sensibilidad a los precios es alta.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLas empresas necesitan precios competitivos, envases pr\u00e1cticos y una propuesta de valor que los agricultores puedan comprender y en la que conf\u00eden f\u00e1cilmente\u201d, afirma Chavarro. \u201cEsto es a\u00fan m\u00e1s importante en un mercado donde los actores locales y los que ya han obtenido patentes tienen una fuerte presencia\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>La flexibilidad y las soluciones integradas son clave.<\/h2>\n<p>La gesti\u00f3n de cultivos en Latinoam\u00e9rica se est\u00e1 integrando cada vez m\u00e1s, incorporando productos biol\u00f3gicos, productos qu\u00edmicos para la protecci\u00f3n de cultivos, sanidad vegetal y tecnolog\u00eda agr\u00edcola. Los enfoques integrados ayudan a los productores a abordar la resistencia a las malezas, reducir los l\u00edmites m\u00e1ximos de residuos en los cultivos exportados y gestionar los costos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLas empresas deben ser flexibles y estar preparadas para posicionar sus productos como parte de programas de cultivo m\u00e1s amplios, no solo como soluciones aisladas\u201d, afirma Chavarro. \u201cEsto tambi\u00e9n implica prestar atenci\u00f3n a los detalles normativos, los requisitos de empaquetado y dise\u00f1o gr\u00e1fico, y los est\u00e1ndares de sostenibilidad, especialmente en los cultivos de exportaci\u00f3n\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n es fundamental establecer relaciones con los productores.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo ofrezcas la cartera de productos que quieres vender\u201d, dice Traverso. \u201cEn cambio, desarrolla y vende la cartera que el agricultor necesita. T\u00f3mate tu tiempo. Luego, realiza una inversi\u00f3n significativa para obtener el registro lo antes posible, presentando un expediente completo y de alta calidad.
