Tambi\u00e9n existe la dificultad de adoptar tecnolog\u00edas de control de malezas de precisi\u00f3n basadas en inteligencia artificial (IA) en sistemas de cultivo extensivo, afirma Pearce.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, afirma que las tecnolog\u00edas de aplicaci\u00f3n de precisi\u00f3n\/dirigida pueden facilitar la adopci\u00f3n de bioherbicidas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLos bioherbicidas no selectivos, como el \u00e1cido pelarg\u00f3nico, pueden utilizarse de forma selectiva en cultivos mediante tecnolog\u00edas de precisi\u00f3n, lo que permite ahorrar producto y costes relacionados\u201d, afirma Pearce. \u201cLos bioherbicidas espec\u00edficos para cada especie tambi\u00e9n podr\u00edan resultar econ\u00f3micamente viables mediante este enfoque\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>En definitiva, Pearce afirma que los bioherbicidas no deben considerarse como sustitutos directos e id\u00e9nticos de los herbicidas sint\u00e9ticos, sino m\u00e1s bien como componentes estrat\u00e9gicos dentro de los sistemas integrados de control de malezas.<\/p>\n<p>En esa misma l\u00ednea de gesti\u00f3n integrada de cultivos, Marrone a\u00f1ade que los bioherbicidas deben formularse para ser utilizados en mezclas con productos qu\u00edmicos con el fin de romper la resistencia y mejorar el rendimiento.<\/p>\n<h2>Una mirada al futuro<\/h2>\n<p>De cara al futuro, Pearce y Marrone afirman que los avances en la selecci\u00f3n microbiana, la fermentaci\u00f3n de precisi\u00f3n, el aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico, la bioinform\u00e1tica, la gen\u00f3mica y las tecnolog\u00edas de formulaci\u00f3n, junto con v\u00edas regulatorias m\u00e1s favorables, mejorar\u00e1n gradualmente las perspectivas de obtener productos viables y listos para su uso en el campo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExiste una probabilidad mayor que nunca de descubrir, desarrollar y utilizar bioherbicidas, en particular aquellos basados en la qu\u00edmica de productos naturales\u201d, afirma Marrone.<\/p>\n<p>Pearce afirma que, en el futuro, los bioherbicidas con m\u00e1s probabilidades de \u00e9xito comercial ser\u00e1n aquellos que presenten un control de amplio espectro o claramente diferenciado, un rendimiento constante en el campo y una integraci\u00f3n perfecta en los programas de pulverizaci\u00f3n existentes, la agricultura de precisi\u00f3n y las herramientas digitales de toma de decisiones.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLas soluciones altamente espec\u00edficas que abordan los problemas generalizados de resistencia en las principales malezas, en particular aquellas que aprovechan tecnolog\u00edas microbianas o derivadas de la fermentaci\u00f3n a gran escala, podr\u00edan tener \u00e9xito all\u00ed donde solucionen problemas de resistencia claramente definidos\u201d, afirma Pearce. \u201cSe vislumbran productos de espectro m\u00e1s amplio, similares al antiguo \u00e1cido pelarg\u00f3nico o al bialaf\u00f3s.
