LUDWIGSHAFEN, Alemania - Dos de las plantas globales de BASF que producen etileno y propileno cerraron debido a incendios separados con una semana de diferencia. Entre el 20 y el 23 de diciembre, incendios separados en la planta de la empresa en Amberes, B\u00e9lgica, y una de sus plantas en Ludwigshafen, Alemania.<\/p>\n

BASF tiene otro craqueador de vapor para los materiales en Ludwigshafen, as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n en Nanjing, China, y Port Arthur, Texas, EE. UU.<\/p>\n

La planta de Amberes es uno de los crackers l\u00edquidos m\u00e1s grandes del mundo con la capacidad de producir m\u00e1s de 1 mill\u00f3n de toneladas de etileno al a\u00f1o. Tambi\u00e9n produce unas 600.000 toneladas de propileno.<\/p>\n
