UU. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fas.usda.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">USDA-FAS<\/a>). Se proyecta que la producci\u00f3n de trigo ser\u00e1 de alrededor de 1,65 millones de toneladas m\u00e9tricas (TM), o 17% menos que el a\u00f1o anterior.<\/p>\n<p>La conferencia LATAM de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.srbija.gov.rs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gobierno de Serbia<\/a> emiti\u00f3 un decreto que extend\u00eda una prohibici\u00f3n de tres meses sobre las exportaciones de trigo que se impuso inicialmente en agosto de 2007. Las exportaciones de trigo de Serbia en 2007 totalizaron 591,354 TM, principalmente a Bosnia y Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, y peque\u00f1as cantidades a <a href=\"http:\/\/europa.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UE<\/a> pa\u00edses. Durante 2007\/08, los precios del trigo en el mercado serbio aumentaron en m\u00e1s de 70% para llegar a US $354 por TM en diciembre, y continuaron subiendo a sus niveles m\u00e1s altos de $424 por TM en marzo. La producci\u00f3n total se estim\u00f3 en 4.1 millones de TM, mientras que el rendimiento promedio se estima en 3.36 TM \/ Ha. Para 2008\/09, la intenci\u00f3n de siembra de ma\u00edz se proyecta en 1.3 millones de Ha, aproximadamente 8% m\u00e1s que el \u00e1rea sembrada el a\u00f1o anterior, mientras que la producci\u00f3n se proyecta en 6.5 millones de TM.<\/p>\n<p>Se estima que alrededor de 150.000 Ha del \u00e1rea incrementada de ma\u00edz provendr\u00e1n de \u00e1reas que no fueron sembradas con trigo el oto\u00f1o pasado. Para aliviar el problema de obtener semillas de ma\u00edz certificadas, el gobierno serbio ha aprobado un programa de los Institutos de Semillas para proporcionar semillas de ma\u00edz certificadas a cambio del ma\u00edz de los agricultores. Con una cosecha corta de ma\u00edz en 2007, el gobierno decidi\u00f3 extender la prohibici\u00f3n a las exportaciones de ma\u00edz que se impuso inicialmente el 4 de agosto de 2007 hasta el 15 de junio de 2008.
