Pero no va a suceder sin problemas. En Francia, sigue en juego la posibilidad de un boicot.<\/p>\n<p>China respondi\u00f3 que las acciones de estos manifestantes estaban equivocadas y representaban solo a una facci\u00f3n minoritaria tibetana; que China ve los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos como un momento y lugar para la libertad y la fraternidad entre todas las naciones.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien no me considero lo suficientemente informado sobre la situaci\u00f3n en el T\u00edbet como para comentarlo, y de hecho he disfrutado mucho los viajes a China en nombre de la revista, s\u00ed creo esto: la escalada econ\u00f3mica hist\u00f3rica de China ha perturbado a todas las industrias en planeta Tierra, punto. Sin duda, un cambio de esta escala ser\u00e1 inquietante para la econom\u00eda mundial y crear\u00e1 momentos de inestabilidad, confusi\u00f3n y resistencia en todo el mundo. Tal vez lo suficiente como para que los miembros de cualquier industria pudieran ver la antorcha a punto de dejar sus manos en el camino a China y desear detenerla, apagar la llama antes de que se convierta en una conflagraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>A saber: una vez, hace cuatro o cinco a\u00f1os, asist\u00ed a una funci\u00f3n realizada por una empresa qu\u00edmica y conoc\u00ed al azar a dos hombres en el vest\u00edbulo del hotel. Uno estaba all\u00ed para asistir a una conferencia sobre la prueba de varios productos en condiciones de casi vac\u00edo; el otro era un t\u00e9cnico dental que hac\u00eda puentes, dentaduras postizas y cosas por el estilo. El fuego hab\u00eda comenzado.<\/p>\n<p>No es algo que se apague. Y la industria de la qu\u00edmica agr\u00edcola, como todas las industrias, se est\u00e1 ajustando. Porque tarde o temprano, a pesar de cualquier cantidad de patadas y gritos, carteles o protestas, la Antorcha llegar\u00e1 a China. Pero no es una calle de un solo sentido.
