WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Canad\u00e1: tras una advertencia emitida por Coalici\u00f3n Canadiense de Plagas de Ma\u00edz<\/a> la semana pasada, que inform\u00f3 que las tasas de cumplimiento de refugios entre los productores de ma\u00edz Bt se redujeron de 80% en 2005 a 61% en 2009, la sucursal canadiense de St. Louis, Missouri, con sede en EE. UU. Monsanto Co<\/a>. ha anunciado su nueva pol\u00edtica de cumplimiento para los refugios de ma\u00edz Bt, dice Gu\u00eda de pa\u00edses<\/a>. Los informes de agricultores canadienses que no lograron mantener adecuadamente las \u00e1reas de refugio impulsaron a la compa\u00f1\u00eda a implementar una pol\u00edtica de advertencia \u00fanica para los campos de ma\u00edz Bt donde se debe mantener un refugio de al menos 20%.
