El Servicio de Agricultura Exterior del Departamento de Agricultura de EE. UU. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fas.usda.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">USDA-FAS<\/a>) informa que Per\u00fa podr\u00eda ser autosuficiente en az\u00facar a partir de 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Esta temporada, la producci\u00f3n de ca\u00f1a de az\u00facar se pronostica en 8,3 millones de TM en 2008. La producci\u00f3n de etanol a partir de la ca\u00f1a de az\u00facar explica el aumento de la inversi\u00f3n en la industria.
