WAGENINGEN, Pa\u00edses Bajos - Investigadores de Universidad de Wageningen<\/a> han descubierto que las prote\u00ednas del hongo que causa el tiz\u00f3n de la hoja del tomate (Cladosporium fulvum<\/em>) son similares a los que causan la enfermedad de Sigatoka negra (Mycosphaerella fijiensis<\/em>) en pl\u00e1tanos. Estas prote\u00ednas podr\u00edan usarse para modificar gen\u00e9ticamente los bananos con genes de tomate resistentes, informa Physorg<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Los autores del estudio han descubierto un ancestro com\u00fan para las enfermedades f\u00fangicas en varias plantas y creen que los tomates y los pl\u00e1tanos tambi\u00e9n pueden compartir un gen de resistencia com\u00fan. La teor\u00eda se est\u00e1 probando actualmente modificando las plantas de banano con la C. fulvum <\/em>gen para determinar si el banano se vuelve resistente contra el M. fijiensis <\/em>hongo.<\/p>\n
