Cr\u00e9dito de la foto: Flickr, foto oficial del USTR, licencia Creative Commons<\/p><\/div>\n<p>La industria qu\u00edmica se est\u00e1 pronunciando en apoyo de dos acuerdos internacionales de libre comercio (TLC) que podr\u00edan mejorar el comercio cuando entren en vigor.<\/p>\n<p>La conferencia LATAM de <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/trade\/policy\/in-focus\/ttip\/about-ttip\/\">Asociaci\u00f3n Transatl\u00e1ntica de Comercio e Inversi\u00f3n (TTIP)<\/a>, que el Congreso y la Comisi\u00f3n Europea est\u00e1n negociando actualmente, facilitar\u00eda un mayor comercio entre Estados Unidos y la UE al eliminar aranceles y regulaciones excesivas y coordinar las reglas de aduanas y competencia.<\/p>\n<p>El Representante Comercial de EE. UU. (USTR) Michael Froman emiti\u00f3 un <a href=\"http:\/\/waysandmeans.house.gov\/uploadedfiles\/att59846.pdf\">declaraci\u00f3n<\/a> al Comit\u00e9 de Medios y Arbitrios de la C\u00e1mara el 3 de abril<sup>rd<\/sup> en el que afirm\u00f3 que el TLC propuesto entre Estados Unidos y la UE fortalecer\u00eda la agricultura y la manufactura estadounidenses.<\/p>\n<p>El vicepresidente de relaciones p\u00fablicas y gubernamentales de la Sociedad de Fabricantes y Afiliados de Productos Qu\u00edmicos (SOCMA), Bill Allmond, respald\u00f3 el testimonio de Froman en un <a href=\"http:\/\/www.socma.com\/PressRoom\/index.cfm?subSec=3&amp;sub=71&amp;articleID=4558\">comunicado de prensa.<\/a> En el mismo d\u00eda. \u201cActualmente, los fabricantes de productos qu\u00edmicos en los EE. UU. Enfrentan desaf\u00edos en muchos mercados extranjeros debido a las costosas y onerosas barreras regulatorias. Una agenda comercial audaz, como la que se destaca en el testimonio de hoy, ayudar\u00e1 a desatar los flujos comerciales entre los fabricantes nacionales y extranjeros, y dar\u00e1 a las empresas estadounidenses una base s\u00f3lida en el mercado global \u201d, dijo.<\/p>\n<p>La Asociaci\u00f3n Europea de Protecci\u00f3n de Cultivos y CropLIfe America (ECPA-CLA) tambi\u00e9n apoyan el TTIP y tienen el <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecpa.eu\/files\/attachments\/ECPA-CLA%20TTIP%20Position%20-%20Paper%2010-03-14.pdf\">posici\u00f3n<\/a>\u00a0que tiene el potencial de mejorar la cooperaci\u00f3n mediante revisiones conjuntas de reglamentos fitosanitarios y de otro tipo y niveles m\u00e1ximos de residuos basados en la ciencia y la evaluaci\u00f3n de riesgos y la protecci\u00f3n continua de la propiedad intelectual. La ECPA propone coordinar la legislaci\u00f3n estadounidense, como la Ley Federal de Insecticidas, Fungicidas y Rodenticidas (FIFRA) y la Ley Federal de Alimentos, Medicamentos y Cosm\u00e9ticos (FFDCA) con la legislaci\u00f3n europea sobre pesticidas y disruptores endocrinos, incluido el Reglamento 1107\/2009 basado en una gu\u00eda de alto nivel recomendada por la Organizaci\u00f3n para la Cooperaci\u00f3n y el Desarrollo Econ\u00f3micos (OCDE).<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, el finalizado pero a\u00fan en evoluci\u00f3n <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/trade\/policy\/countries-and-regions\/countries\/canada\/\">Acuerdo econ\u00f3mico y comercial global entre Canad\u00e1 y la UE (CETA)<\/a> fue promulgada en octubre de 2013 y tiene como objetivo aumentar el comercio bilateral.
