PepsiCo tambi\u00e9n posee el sello Rainforest Alliance en Chile. Para Arysta LifeScience, la asociaci\u00f3n reconoce la inversi\u00f3n en sanidad vegetal y productos m\u00e1s sostenibles en su programa Pronutiva, que distingue a la empresa a nivel mundial, y particularmente en Am\u00e9rica Latina.<\/p>\n<p>PepsiCo es uno de los mayores compradores de papas en Chile. Los agricultores afectados por la Bio-Alliance producen aproximadamente 50.000 toneladas de patatas en 3.700 acres en todas las regiones del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Chile produce m\u00e1s de 1 mill\u00f3n de toneladas de papa al a\u00f1o. El cultivo genera $20 millones al a\u00f1o en productos fitosanitarios.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">\u201cEl proyecto Bio-Alliance proporcionar\u00e1 a PepsiCo alimentos m\u00e1s saludables y seguros para los consumidores. Para Arysta LifeScience, significa reconocer el programa Pronutiva como una soluci\u00f3n eficaz y sostenible para los agricultores \u201d, explic\u00f3 Fabio Torretta, director ejecutivo de Arysta LifeScience LatAm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">Marcelo Gardel, gerente general de Arysta LifeScience Chile y Per\u00fa, informa que el acuerdo permite a Arysta LifeScience triplicar su participaci\u00f3n en un mercado que busca nuevas tecnolog\u00edas y cuya importancia para la agricultura chilena est\u00e1 creciendo, adem\u00e1s de participar activamente en la cadena productiva de
