Esta cepa ha sido evaluada en diferentes cultivos de hortalizas (tomate, lechuga, pepino, calabac\u00edn, patata) as\u00ed como en vi\u00f1edos y frutales. Pseudomonas putida B2017 ha demostrado un gran potencial para el control de un amplio espectro de enfermedades agr\u00edcolas, incluidos los hongos que causan el mildi\u00fa polvoroso (<em>Oidium neolycopersici, Glovomyces chicharacearum, Leveillula taurica, Erisiphe necator<\/em>) mildi\u00fa velloso<em>Bremia lactucae<\/em>, <em>Phytophthora infestans, Plasmopara vit\u00edcola<\/em>), pudriciones (<em>Fusarium oxysporium<\/em>), esclerotinia, viruela (<em>Rhizoctonia solani<\/em>), y enfermedades bacterianas como <em>Pseudomonas syringae, Pectobacterium,<\/em> y <em>Xanthomonas<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSiempre nos emociona descubrir y caracterizar cepas con un potencial de biocontrol tan alto\u201d, dice Carolina Fern\u00e1ndez, directora de investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo de Futureco Bioscience. \u201cLa eficacia de la cepa B2017 es muy constante y estoy convencido de que nuestras formulaciones pronto ser\u00e1n una herramienta muy valiosa para cualquier agricultor que quiera aplicar estrategias de control biol\u00f3gico\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>La concesi\u00f3n de la patente se produce despu\u00e9s de que el pasado mes de marzo de 2021 Futureco Bioscience presentara a las autoridades alemanas (Estado miembro ponente - RMS) el expediente para solicitar la autorizaci\u00f3n de este microorganismo como nueva sustancia fitosanitaria activa de acuerdo con lo dispuesto en el reglamento europeo 1107 \/ 2009. Una vez finalizada la revisi\u00f3n de las autoridades de todos los estados miembros de la UE, la Comisi\u00f3n y la Agencia Europea de Seguridad Alimentaria, las formulaciones basadas en este microorganismo ser\u00e1n elegibles para su registro en cualquier pa\u00eds de la Uni\u00f3n Europea. La primera formulaci\u00f3n, codificada como B2017 OD, se encuentra ahora en ensayos en Espa\u00f1a, Italia, Francia, entre otros pa\u00edses, mostrando resultados excepcionales.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLa concesi\u00f3n de esta patente refuerza la alineaci\u00f3n de la misi\u00f3n y visi\u00f3n de Futureco Bioscience con las necesidades expresadas por las partes interesadas. Los agricultores, consumidores y legisladores est\u00e1n dispuestos a promover una agricultura m\u00e1s sostenible, poner en pr\u00e1ctica programas como la estrategia europea &#039;De la granja a la mesa&#039; y alinearse con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de la ONU y la transici\u00f3n global hacia sistemas agroalimentarios sostenibles \u201d, dice Jos\u00e9.
