Rocio Alatorre Eden-Wynter, comisionada federal de COFEPRIS, la agencia reguladora y de aprobaci\u00f3n de plaguicidas de M\u00e9xico, describi\u00f3 el procedimiento y el costo para registrar plaguicidas en M\u00e9xico durante la sesi\u00f3n inaugural de la Cumbre Comercial de la FCI. El discurso de apertura discuti\u00f3 la definici\u00f3n de plaguicidas bajo la ley mexicana y la categorizaci\u00f3n de plaguicidas que gu\u00eda el proceso regulatorio mexicano. Enfatiz\u00f3 que la comisi\u00f3n y sus pol\u00edticas est\u00e1n evolucionando continuamente para mejorar el proceso de toma de decisiones y asegurar el progreso continuo del pueblo mexicano y su creciente industria agr\u00edcola.<\/p>\n

Los aspectos m\u00e1s destacados de la presentaci\u00f3n de Alatorre incluyeron una descripci\u00f3n general de los requisitos de datos de registro relacionados con propiedades f\u00edsicas y humanas y ecotoxicol\u00f3gicas, as\u00ed como un resumen de los costos de registro para cada una de las cuatro categor\u00edas toxicol\u00f3gicas establecidas por la comisi\u00f3n.
