La investigaci\u00f3n utilizar\u00e1 conjuntos de datos de diversas poblaciones de la planta modelo Arabidopsis y plantas de cultivo de ma\u00edz, sorgo, soja y arroz para identificar las regiones del genoma que son responsables de la acumulaci\u00f3n elemental. Al buscar genes que se encuentran dentro de esas regiones en todas las especies, los investigadores esperan encontrar nuevos genes que controlen la absorci\u00f3n elemental de manera imparcial.
