Tras una ausencia de cuatro a\u00f1os, AgriBusiness Global<\/em> revista pudo reunir nuevamente a los representantes de los agroqu\u00edmicos en persona en la Cumbre de Comercio de Agribusiness Global<\/a>. Celebrada en Aventura, FL, el 9 y 10 de agosto, la Cumbre Comercial reuni\u00f3 a participantes de todo el mundo que realizan negocios en todos los sectores del espacio agr\u00edcola. En total, estuvieron presentes m\u00e1s de 800 asistentes de docenas de pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n

El evento comenz\u00f3 con una reuni\u00f3n de desayuno con un par de oradores principales. Ambos eran de AgbioInvestor<\/a>, una fuente l\u00edder de informaci\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis del mercado mundial de protecci\u00f3n de cultivos con sede en el Reino Unido.<\/p>\n

El primero en hablar ante la audiencia de la Cumbre de Comercio de 2023 fue Allister Phillips<\/a>, cofundador de AgbioInvestor. Phillips busc\u00f3 semillas en el mercado. Antes de los a\u00f1os de COVID-19, las ventas de semillas a nivel mundial estaban un poco en declive, dijo.<\/p>\n

\u201cCuando miras los n\u00fameros, la semilla tratada val\u00eda menos en 2019 que en 2014\u201d, dijo Phillips. Afortunadamente, el mercado comenz\u00f3 a recuperarse durante las temporadas de crecimiento de 2020 y 2021, con un crecimiento global de las ventas de semillas de 2,6% durante este per\u00edodo.<\/p>\n

Y los resultados para 2022 muestran una curva de crecimiento a\u00fan m\u00e1s fuerte en todo el sector. \u201cA nivel mundial, parece que el mercado de semillas se recuper\u00f3 significativamente, creciendo 6.3%\u201d, dijo Phillips. En Am\u00e9rica Central y del Sur, la soja y el algod\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n impulsaron mejores ventas de semillas, especialmente en Brasil. \u201cLa mejora en las ventas provino de una mayor superficie de soja en Brasil y el lanzamiento de nuevas tecnolog\u00edas como Intacta 2 Xtend y Conkesta E3\u201d, dijo. "El algod\u00f3n de Brasil tambi\u00e9n aument\u00f3 en superficie luego de una disminuci\u00f3n en el a\u00f1o anterior".<\/p>\n

Mirando hacia 2023, Phillips dijo que el pron\u00f3stico para las ventas de semillas a nivel mundial parece ser otro aumento general de 5.9%.
