Est\u00e1 en proceso de desarrollar un marco regulatorio para la evaluaci\u00f3n de alimentos gen\u00e9ticamente modificados. Los principales cultivos del pa\u00eds incluyen cereales, aceitunas para la producci\u00f3n de aceite, frutas, nueces y hortalizas. El mercado de agroqu\u00edmicos en T\u00fanez depende principalmente de las importaciones, siendo Francia, Espa\u00f1a, Alemania, el Reino Unido e Italia las principales fuentes.<\/p>\n<p>Zambia se independiz\u00f3 de Gran Breta\u00f1a en 1964, pero ha enfrentado incertidumbre econ\u00f3mica, malestar pol\u00edtico y dependencia de las exportaciones de cobre. La econom\u00eda del pa\u00eds es vulnerable a los precios de las materias primas, y la pobreza rural y el desempleo son problemas importantes.
