Al explotar las variaciones gen\u00e9ticas naturales para lograr genotipos tolerantes a la sequ\u00eda y desarrollar bioestimulantes vegetales derivados de organismos vivos, BOOSTER aprovechar\u00e1 los recursos naturales disponibles para desarrollar nuevas variedades de cultivos agr\u00edcolas tolerantes a la sequ\u00eda. El proyecto de 4,9 millones de euros est\u00e1 financiado por el programa marco Horizonte Europa de la Comisi\u00f3n Europea y tendr\u00e1 una duraci\u00f3n de cuatro a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>Se implementar\u00e1n dos estrategias sin\u00e9rgicas para lograr este objetivo. En primer lugar, un nuevo enfoque identificar\u00e1 variantes gen\u00f3micas en regiones reguladoras funcionalmente asociadas con la tolerancia a la sequ\u00eda. Los nuevos elementos regulatorios subyacentes a la resiliencia informar\u00e1n los esfuerzos de mejoramiento eficientes para crear nuevas variedades de cereales tolerantes a la sequ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>En segundo lugar, BioAtlantis Ltd. (Irlanda) y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aphea.bio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aphea.Bio<\/a> (B\u00e9lgica), respectivamente, como enfoque ecol\u00f3gico para mejorar la resiliencia a la sequ\u00eda.
