En apoyo de este hecho, EBIC public\u00f3 un libro blanco titulado: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/biostimulants.eu\/publications\/seaweed-whitepaper-v11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Conocimientos recientes sobre el modo de acci\u00f3n de los bioestimulantes vegetales a base de algas marinas<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Los miembros de EBIC han informado repetidamente a lo largo de los a\u00f1os que algunas autoridades reguladoras estaban cuestionando sus expedientes para comercializar productos bioestimulantes vegetales que contienen extractos de algas porque cre\u00edan que el producto contendr\u00eda hormonas vegetales, que est\u00e1n reguladas como productos fitosanitarios en muchas jurisdicciones. Con ese fin, EBIC decidi\u00f3 escribir un documento t\u00e9cnico que revisa la ciencia sobre este tema al que nuestros miembros podr\u00edan hacer referencia al enfrentar este concepto err\u00f3neo. El art\u00edculo fue desarrollado a trav\u00e9s de la Red de Expertos en Algas Marinas de EBIC, integrada por representantes de las siguientes empresas: Acadian Plant Health, Alfarin, Arysta LifeScience, BioAtlantis, Brandon Bioscience, Daymsa, Groupe Roullier, ICL Group, Ilex EnviroSciences, Olmix, Rovensa Next, Valagro y Yara Internacional.<\/p>\n<p>El art\u00edculo, que luego fue presentado por NewAG International, explica la comprensi\u00f3n actual de c\u00f3mo los bioestimulantes a base de algas marinas act\u00faan sobre las plantas. Despu\u00e9s de una extensa revisi\u00f3n de la literatura, EBIC concluy\u00f3 que las biomol\u00e9culas presentes naturalmente en los extractos de algas marinas, como los carbohidratos y los polifenoles, modulan la expresi\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica e inducen cambios metab\u00f3licos en las plantas que conducen a los efectos bioestimulantes observados. Estos hallazgos desaf\u00edan un malentendido com\u00fan por parte de las autoridades reguladoras de que los efectos de los bioestimulantes vegetales a base de algas se deben a su contenido en hormonas vegetales, y abren nuevas v\u00edas para una caracterizaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s refinada de su modo de acci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n de EBIC arroja luz sobre la importancia de evaluar y reevaluar cr\u00edticamente los supuestos hist\u00f3ricos. Desafiar la comprensi\u00f3n actual puede fomentar la innovaci\u00f3n y desbloquear soluciones novedosas a los desaf\u00edos globales. Adem\u00e1s de evitar conceptos err\u00f3neos por parte de las autoridades reguladoras de todo el mundo, el objetivo de este documento t\u00e9cnico es estimular m\u00e1s investigaciones sobre el modo de acci\u00f3n de los bioestimulantes vegetales, en particular los que contienen extractos de algas marinas. Los avances en las tecnolog\u00edas \u201c\u00f3micas\u201d (gen\u00f3mica, metabol\u00f3mica, etc.) permiten actualmente caracterizar muy detalladamente c\u00f3mo act\u00faan los productos aplicados en determinadas condiciones sobre la expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica de la planta diana.
