\u201cCada vez m\u00e1s, la industria comenzar\u00e1 a utilizar soja en sus procesos. Como es una materia prima abundante, biodegradable y una fuente de energ\u00eda renovable, especialmente en la paja y el aceite vegetal, surgir\u00e1n nuevos e importantes usos industriales \u201d, dijo Panizzi en un art\u00edculo de la Agencia de Noticias \u00c1rabe-Brasil (ANBA<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Esta previsi\u00f3n ha cobrado fuerza tras el seminario internacional, Recursos de soja para procesos industriales no alimentarios<\/em>, que Embrapa Soy promovi\u00f3 en R\u00edo de Janeiro en abril. Bases para alfombras, productos de limpieza, pl\u00e1sticos, espumas, adhesivos, pinturas, lubricantes, solventes y removedores son algunos de los productos donde la soja ha estado compitiendo de manera efectiva con los petroqu\u00edmicos en varios mercados. \u201cLa versatilidad de la soja es bien conocida desde 1900, cuando Henry Ford y Washington Carver presentaron varios usos del grano. Sin embargo, en ese momento, la entrada de derivados del petr\u00f3leo de bajo costo pr\u00e1cticamente inhibi\u00f3 su expansi\u00f3n. Hoy en d\u00eda, con los altos precios del petr\u00f3leo y el aumento de la preocupaci\u00f3n por el calentamiento global, la soja ha vuelto a ser una opci\u00f3n para la industria \u201d, dijo Panizzi.<\/p>\n

Las nuevas aplicaciones para la paja de soja tambi\u00e9n deber\u00edan ganar mercado en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os. La madera contrachapada, los gabinetes del fregadero y el pegamento para madera ya se est\u00e1n produciendo a partir de paja. La soja tambi\u00e9n ha sido una materia prima para la industria de lubricantes. Estados Unidos utiliza soja en varios tipos de combustibles hidr\u00e1ulicos, como l\u00edquido para ascensores, bombas estacionarias y tractores. Tambi\u00e9n existen productos utilizados en metalurgia y para lubricaci\u00f3n de moldes utilizados en fundici\u00f3n de metales, lubricaci\u00f3n de encofrados para hormig\u00f3n y lubricaci\u00f3n de pasta asf\u00e1ltica.<\/p>\n
