Para la cosecha de verano-oto\u00f1o, que se cultiva principalmente en la parte sur de Vietnam, los aumentos en la superficie plantada en las regiones exportadoras fueron cancelados por la sequ\u00eda en otras \u00e1reas para dejar la producci\u00f3n solo un poco m\u00e1s alta en comparaci\u00f3n con el a\u00f1o pasado.
