El Comit\u00e9 de Medio Ambiente vot\u00f3 a favor de apoyar:<\/p>\n<p class=\"subhead\">El Reglamento de autorizaci\u00f3n<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Los criterios de corte adicionales conducir\u00e1n a una prohibici\u00f3n innecesaria de una serie de productos que han demostrado cumplir con altos est\u00e1ndares de seguridad y que actualmente los agricultores europeos los utilizan de forma segura.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Se elimin\u00f3 el concepto de autorizaci\u00f3n de tres zonas y se introdujeron exenciones que permitir\u00edan a los Estados miembros rechazar f\u00e1cilmente una autorizaci\u00f3n de plaguicidas concedida por otros Estados miembros.<\/p>\n<p class=\"subhead\">La Directiva de uso sostenible<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Se aceptaron enmiendas que conducir\u00edan al establecimiento de objetivos de reducci\u00f3n del uso aleatorio y arbitrario de plaguicidas.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1s de un tercio de los eurodiputados de la Comisi\u00f3n de Medio Ambiente votaron en contra de la adopci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Con respecto a la autorizaci\u00f3n, sin duda se requiere una evaluaci\u00f3n de riesgos adecuada para garantizar que los productos sean seguros tanto para las personas como para el medio ambiente&quot;, dijo el director general de ECPA, Friedhelm Schmider. \u201cSin embargo, esta direcci\u00f3n regulatoria tendr\u00e1 un impacto negativo significativo en la producci\u00f3n de cultivos clave en Europa. El simple hecho de que una sustancia tenga propiedades peligrosas no significa que no se pueda utilizar de forma segura \u201d, continu\u00f3 Schmider. \u201cLos criterios de corte basados en peligros crudos tendr\u00e1n un impacto negativo grave, no solo en la agricultura sostenible y la protecci\u00f3n del medio ambiente, sino que tambi\u00e9n har\u00e1n subir los precios de los alimentos y degradar\u00e1n la calidad de vida de Europa. Adem\u00e1s, los criterios de corte reducir\u00e1n la biodiversidad, ya que impulsar\u00e1n la producci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s tierras para mantener el suministro de alimentos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSobre la Directiva de Uso Sostenible\u201d, dijo Schmider, \u201cfijar objetivos de reducci\u00f3n de uso arbitrarios no funciona; como ya se ha visto en el incumplimiento de los objetivos de reducci\u00f3n del uso establecidos en Dinamarca. El uso de plaguicidas responde a necesidades reales y locales de manejo de plagas, no a objetivos.
