Corteva Agriscience Launches Regional Africa Headquarters in Morocco

Corteva Agriscience, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont, launched its official North-West & West Central Africa regional headquarters in Casablanca, Morocco.

The Casablanca office will act as Corteva Agriscience’ s business center for customers, partners and consumers in its main markets of Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Niger, Tunisia, Togo and Senegal, bringing farmers the right mix of seeds, crop protection and digital solutions to maximize their yields and improve their profitability in these markets.

This development brings the number of Corteva Agriscience offices across the African continent to four, with other offices operational in Cairo, Johannesburg, Nairobi and now Casablanca.

“Moroccan agriculture has made great progress in terms of modernisation and diversification and it made it a strategically sound location for Corteva Agriscience to establish its regional headquarters. This is a natural recognition of Morocco’s role as the agricultural hub for the North-West & West Central Africa (NWAF & WCAF) region,” says Prabdeep Bajwa, President, Corteva Agriscience, Africa and Middle East.

The commercial area will be managed by industry veteran, Alain Pescay, who brings a wealth of experience and supported by local talent and experts who are knowledgeable about the region’s food security needs and farmer demands.

The Casablanca office will be supported by the headquarters for Africa and the Middle East located in Pretoria, South Africa. “With more than 60 countries, Africa and the Middle East is diverse and complex and our regional structure is geared towards being closer to farmers and helps us serve them in the way they want to be served, allowing us to build strong relationships with them and channel partners on the ground,” concluded Bajwa.
