Opinion: Growing Together Is Gratifying
More than one person has told me this week: “We are a better, bigger and more profitable company for attending the Trade Summits.” Wow. That is the best compliment we could hope for. And we are proud to have played a part in growth and development of attending companies in the emerging markets that we have hosted our events.
The FCI Trade Summits are successful because we have been able to engage a good mix of local companies and international manufacturers. We are on the ground for months learning the markets and catering each one to the specific location. That’s the kind of market intelligence, analysis and insight that differentiates the Summit.
We are not only celebrating our fifth anniversary of the Trade Summit in the Americas, but we are also celebrating 25 years of publishing Farm Chemicals International magazine. That expertise and market engagement can’t be reproduced by other media companies or event organizers.
And these gatherings are coming at a critical time, a time when national governments are devising ways to produce enough food, feed, fiber and fuel to satisfy a growing population and growing middle classes in emerging economies. We are part of the solution to those challenges. We are part of the knowledge transfer necessary for farmers to increase the adoption of crop inputs. We are part of the distribution system that helps communities create better food security. That is a pretty great thing to be part of.
We at FCI are looking forward to continued growth with our partner companies, but we look forward to seeing you in Malaysia December 4-7.
