The facility, located near Cologne, Germany, is scheduled to begin production in early 2009. The company is investing US $89 million in the plant.

The investment in its “most successful herbicide active substance” is being undertaken to allow the company “to exploit the growth potential of this important market segment over the long term,” chairman of the board of management Prof. Friedrich Berschauer said.
