Na soja, onde a Syngenta j\u00e1 possui uma oferta completa de sementes geneticamente modificadas, a qualidade do germoplasma desempenha um papel diferenciador fundamental e nos permitiu novamente ganhar participa\u00e7\u00e3o de mercado. Com a redu\u00e7\u00e3o da \u00e1rea plantada com milho nos EUA, os produtores de fora dos EUA responderam aumentando o plantio de milho. Isso gerou novas oportunidades com a amplia\u00e7\u00e3o do nosso perfil de maturidade h\u00edbrida na Europa e a expans\u00e3o da nossa oferta de sementes geneticamente modificadas na Am\u00e9rica Latina. No Brasil, a aprova\u00e7\u00e3o da nossa caracter\u00edstica Bt11 foi confirmada em maio, permitindo-nos introduzir a caracter\u00edstica para a safra 2008\/2009. A aprova\u00e7\u00e3o para toler\u00e2ncia ao herbicida GA21 no final do ano abre potencial futuro para produtos de dupla camada.
