De acordo com o estudo, \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fao.org\/docrep\/012\/i0680e\/i0680e00.htm\">O Estado da Alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o e da Agricultura 2009<\/a>,\u201d A Am\u00e9rica Latina \u2014 junto com o Caribe e a \u00c1sia \u2014 teve o maior consumo per capita de produtos bovinos durante os \u00faltimos quarenta anos. A FAO relata a crescente demanda global por carne bovina e produtos bovinos resultante de maior renda per capita e crescimento populacional em pa\u00edses em desenvolvimento.<\/p>\n<p>O estudo relata que a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de carne bovina no Brasil est\u00e1 prevista para uma taxa de crescimento de 50% nos pr\u00f3ximos 10 anos. O Brasil j\u00e1 \u00e9 um dos maiores produtores de carne, incluindo aves e su\u00ednos, com 7% de produ\u00e7\u00e3o global. No ano passado, a produ\u00e7\u00e3o brasileira de carne totalizou 24 milh\u00f5es de toneladas; 5,2 milh\u00f5es de toneladas foram exportadas, gerando receitas de US$ $24 bilh\u00f5es. O excedente export\u00e1vel expandido vir\u00e1 do aumento da produ\u00e7\u00e3o, de acordo com pecuaristas e exportadores, o que deve impulsionar o crescimento de mat\u00e9rias-primas animais. O Brasil j\u00e1 \u00e9 um dos principais produtores de ra\u00e7\u00e3o para gado.<\/p>\n<p>Utilizando a rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre as exporta\u00e7\u00f5es brasileiras e o com\u00e9rcio mundial, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.agricultura.gov.br\/\">Minist\u00e9rio da Agricultura<\/a> no Brasil estima que as vendas externas de carne bovina brasileira em 2018\/19 devem representar 60,6% do com\u00e9rcio global; carne su\u00edna, 21% do com\u00e9rcio; e frango, 89,7%.
