Se olharmos para os \u00faltimos 45 anos, vimos grandes mudan\u00e7as em diversas \u00e1reas da agronomia. A tecnologia de sementes avan\u00e7ou drasticamente e a tecnologia de plantio evoluiu na mesma propor\u00e7\u00e3o. Hoje, temos singula\u00e7\u00e3o precisa de sementes, emerg\u00eancia muito mais consistente e acesso a fungicidas que simplesmente n\u00e3o existiam h\u00e1 45 ou 50 anos. Os sistemas de drenagem tamb\u00e9m melhoraram significativamente.<\/p>\n<p>Todos esses fatores contribuem para uma maior produtividade \u2014 e, curiosamente, os solos de menor produtividade foram os mais beneficiados. Por exemplo, no Condado de Champaign, Illinois \u2014 um dos condados com maior \u00edndice de produtividade em Illinois \u2014 a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de milho passou de cerca de 123 bushels em 1980 para aproximadamente 216 bushels em 2024, um aumento de cerca de 751 TP3T.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABG: E quanto aos condados com \u00edndices de produtividade mais baixos?
