Para a maioria de n\u00f3s, imaginar algo que seja menor que 100 nan\u00f4metros (nm) \u00e9 muito desafiador. Al\u00e9m disso, a redu\u00e7\u00e3o de perdas de produtos tradicionais de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos ter\u00e1 impacto significativo no meio ambiente.<\/p>\n<p>Nanomateriais tamb\u00e9m t\u00eam sido usados no desenvolvimento de plataformas de sensoriamento avan\u00e7adas para monitoramento de solo, \u00e1gua e pragas agr\u00edcolas. Al\u00e9m disso, com o advento de controles biol\u00f3gicos e biopesticidas, plataformas de nanotecnologia, como nanoc\u00e1psulas e nanorevestimentos, se tornar\u00e3o ferramentas importantes para melhorar a vida \u00fatil e a estabilidade de formula\u00e7\u00f5es biol\u00f3gicas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABG: Quem s\u00e3o os l\u00edderes dessa tecnologia?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>MK:<\/strong>\u00a0Existem v\u00e1rias startups globalmente olhando para nanopesticidas, nanofertilizantes e nanoadjuvantes, mas at\u00e9 hoje, h\u00e1 apenas alguns que est\u00e3o dispon\u00edveis no mercado. Nanofertilizantes t\u00eam a maior import\u00e2ncia comercial, depois nanoadjuvantes e, finalmente, nanopesticidas.<\/p>\n<p>Os nanofertilizantes v\u00eam em diferentes formas, como nanop\u00f3, nanoc\u00e1psulas e nanoemuls\u00f5es. A aplica\u00e7\u00e3o foliar de nanofertilizantes \u00e9 o m\u00e9todo mais eficiente, pois os pesquisadores relataram que nanopart\u00edculas maiores que 10 nm podem penetrar atrav\u00e9s dos est\u00f4matos. Para reduzir o uso excessivo, nanofertilizantes de libera\u00e7\u00e3o lenta com o sistema de nanoencapsulamento permitem que os ingredientes ativos sejam liberados das part\u00edculas de forma lenta e controlada s\u00e3o recomendados.<\/p>\n<p>Os nanofertilizantes s\u00e3o qualificados em tr\u00eas grupos: Nanoformula\u00e7\u00f5es de micronutrientes, nanoformula\u00e7\u00f5es de macronutrientes e nanomateriais carregados de nutrientes (sendo o \u00faltimo o mais popular). Exemplos de nanofertilizantes aprovados usados no mundo hoje e seus fabricantes s\u00e3o: Nano Calcium (AC International Network Co., Ltd., Alemanha), Nano-Micro Nutrient (Shan Maw Myae Trading Co., Ltd., \u00cdndia), Nano Green (Nano Green Sciences, Inc., \u00cdndia), Nano-Fertilizer (Fanavar Nano-PazhooheshMarkazi Company, Ir\u00e3) e Aqua-Yield Operations LLC, fertilizante nano-inteligente. Para pesticidas, Vive Crop Protection, Canad\u00e1 com produtos contendo o Allosperse Delivery System.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABG: Como voc\u00ea v\u00ea isso funcionando com tecnologia agr\u00edcola?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>MK:<\/strong> Os nanoprodutos proporcionam melhor absor\u00e7\u00e3o, penetra\u00e7\u00e3o e maior efici\u00eancia gra\u00e7as \u00e0 sua alt\u00edssima rela\u00e7\u00e3o superf\u00edcie\/corpo. Como resultado, oferecem diversos benef\u00edcios \u2014 efic\u00e1cia aprimorada, administra\u00e7\u00e3o direcionada, melhor compatibilidade, maior biodisponibilidade, novas funcionalidades, maior estabilidade, menores taxas de uso e libera\u00e7\u00e3o controlada \u2014 caracter\u00edsticas cruciais para drones e agricultura de precis\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABG: Voc\u00ea pode descrever como acha que a nanotecnologia mudar\u00e1 o mercado?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>MK:<\/strong>\u00a0A nanotecnologia pode ter um impacto profundo na produ\u00e7\u00e3o agr\u00edcola. Para aumentar a produ\u00e7\u00e3o para suprir uma popula\u00e7\u00e3o global crescente, v\u00e1rios desafios devem ser superados ao mesmo tempo com uma redu\u00e7\u00e3o do impacto ambiental negativo. A nanotecnologia, fundamentalmente por meio do desenvolvimento de sistemas de entrega inteligentes e nanocarreadores, pode contribuir para a engenharia de forma mais eficiente e com menos agroqu\u00edmicos e fertilizantes contaminantes, com menores taxas de uso e sistemas de entrega controlados atingindo alvos com muito mais precis\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABG: Como est\u00e3o as regulamenta\u00e7\u00f5es para essa tecnologia e com que rapidez as novas formula\u00e7\u00f5es chegar\u00e3o ao mercado?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>MK:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00c0 medida que a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o da nanotecnologia se torna uma op\u00e7\u00e3o mais realista para a ind\u00fastria agr\u00edcola, tem havido uma preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o crescente sobre as poss\u00edveis implica\u00e7\u00f5es para a sa\u00fade humana e ambiental que podem ocorrer como resultado. Por exemplo, uma preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o especial est\u00e1 relacionada \u00e0 potencial bioacumula\u00e7\u00e3o de materiais nano-aprimorados dentro do ambiente e da cadeia alimentar que podem eventualmente chegar ao consumo humano.<\/p>\n<p>A Ag\u00eancia de Prote\u00e7\u00e3o Ambiental dos Estados Unidos (EPA) exige que todos os pesticidas usados na ind\u00fastria agr\u00edcola sejam revisados sob a Lei Federal de Inseticidas, Fungicidas e Rodenticidas (FIFRA). Desde 2016, a EPA tem se concentrado em investigar se os nanopesticidas apresentam maiores benef\u00edcios do que os pesticidas tradicionais, bem como os riscos potenciais que esses materiais podem causar ao meio ambiente e \u00e0 sa\u00fade humana.<\/p>\n<p>Desde 2011, quando a Comiss\u00e3o Europeia publicou uma defini\u00e7\u00e3o oficial do que \u00e9 um nanomaterial, um n\u00famero consider\u00e1vel de recursos foi dedicado para garantir a seguran\u00e7a desses materiais tanto para os humanos quanto para o meio ambiente. Em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 ind\u00fastria agr\u00edcola, o Regulamento de Produtos de Prote\u00e7\u00e3o Vegetal (EC 1107\/2009) \u00e9 respons\u00e1vel por regular o uso de pesticidas, exigindo, portanto, que os nanomateriais sejam avaliados da mesma forma que qualquer outro ingrediente ativo seria investigado quanto \u00e0 toxicidade potencial e destino ambiental.<\/p>\n<p>Em 3 de dezembro de 2018, a Comiss\u00e3o Europeia (CE) adotou\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/PDF\/?uri=CELEX:32018R1881&amp;from=EN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Regulamento 2018\/1881<\/a>, alterando o regulamento existente de Registro, Avalia\u00e7\u00e3o, Autoriza\u00e7\u00e3o e Restri\u00e7\u00e3o de Produtos Qu\u00edmicos (REACH), para abordar diretamente as nanopart\u00edculas. O regulamento de nanotecnologia se aplica a qualquer subst\u00e2ncia que possa ser, ou possa conter, um nanomaterial (por exemplo, p\u00f3), independentemente de ter sido fabricado como nanotecnologia.
