{"id":134042,"date":"2026-02-23T13:37:33","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T18:37:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.agribusinessglobal.com\/?p=134042"},"modified":"2026-02-25T07:41:43","modified_gmt":"2026-02-25T12:41:43","slug":"glyphosate-under-protection-and-bayers-hope-for-resolution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.agribusinessglobal.com\/pt\/agrochemicals\/herbicides\/glyphosate-under-protection-and-bayers-hope-for-resolution\/","title":{"rendered":"Glifosato sob prote\u00e7\u00e3o e a esperan\u00e7a da Bayer de uma resolu\u00e7\u00e3o."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Uma Ordem Executiva Presidencial (OE) foi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.farmweeknow.com\/policy\/national\/trump-protects-domestic-glyphosate-phosphorus\/article_4bc1566c-5a0c-4ee7-85e5-fb4923d2b688.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emitido em 18 de fevereiro<\/a>, ao abrigo da Lei de Prepara\u00e7\u00e3o para a Defesa sobre f\u00f3sforo elementar e glifosato. \u00c9 in\u00e9dito que um Presidente emita uma ordem protegendo a produ\u00e7\u00e3o americana de um agrot\u00f3xico.<\/p>\n<p>O Supremo Tribunal concordou em ouvir o caso. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bayer.com\/en\/agriculture-overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">da Bayer CropScience (BCS)<\/a> H\u00e1 um m\u00eas, foi apresentado um recurso contra todos os processos pendentes relacionados a danos causados pelo glifosato, com uma decis\u00e3o esperada para junho ou julho. \u00c9 evidente que, diferentemente da administra\u00e7\u00e3o anterior, o Procurador-Geral apoiar\u00e1 o recurso e enfatizar\u00e1 a solidez cient\u00edfica e a supremacia das diretrizes da EPA (Ag\u00eancia de Prote\u00e7\u00e3o Ambiental dos Estados Unidos).<\/p>\n<p>Caso a Suprema Corte concorde, isso n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 apenas ben\u00e9fico para o glifosato, mas tamb\u00e9m dever\u00e1 se estender ao paraquat e a qualquer outro produto sujeito \u00e0 jurisdi\u00e7\u00e3o da EPA e que esteja atualmente na mira de organiza\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o governamentais (ONGs).<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m disso, espera-se que isso consolide a ideia de que as decis\u00f5es judiciais precisam ser baseadas em ci\u00eancia s\u00f3lida. Duvido que a BCS consiga obter reembolsos por acordos anteriores, mas pelo menos isso deve estancar as perdas futuras.<\/p>\n<p>As ONGs esperam que, ao eliminar o glifosato, consigam acabar com a ind\u00fastria de sementes transg\u00eanicas. Isso vai p\u00f4r fim a esse sonho.<\/p>\n<p>Bayer CropScience <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/healthcare-pharmaceuticals\/bayer-make-105-bln-push-settle-roundup-cases-bloomberg-reports-2026-02-17\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">anunciado<\/a> Em 17 de fevereiro, foi criado o fundo $7.25 B para resolver as reivindica\u00e7\u00f5es atuais e futuras contra o Roundup. \u00c9 dif\u00edcil saber se a cria\u00e7\u00e3o desse fundo influenciou a decis\u00e3o do Presidente de emitir a Ordem Executiva no dia seguinte. Tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 dif\u00edcil entender se a cria\u00e7\u00e3o desse fundo ser\u00e1 influenciada pela futura decis\u00e3o da Suprema Corte sobre toda essa quest\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Uma coisa que se pode presumir \u00e9 que, se esse fundo for aprovado pelo Tribunal do Missouri, estado onde se concentra a maioria dos processos judiciais, ele poder\u00e1 liberar a Bayer AG para transferir a propriedade da Bayer CropScience. \u00c9 improv\u00e1vel que alguma empresa esteja disposta a adquirir a empresa a menos que tenha plena confian\u00e7a de que n\u00e3o ficar\u00e1 com passivos relacionados ao Roundup.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m disso, nos bastidores do Departamento de Agricultura, com o apoio do Conselho de Seguran\u00e7a Nacional (NSC), est\u00e3o sendo desenvolvidas e, potencialmente, implementadas pol\u00edticas de seguran\u00e7a alimentar, com foco em agrot\u00f3xicos.
