andamento.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>As press\u00f5es globais n\u00e3o poderiam ter sido piores em 2009: crise financeira, queda nos pre\u00e7os das commodities, consumo em decl\u00ednio, moedas em desvaloriza\u00e7\u00e3o em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao d\u00f3lar e outros fatores contribu\u00edram para a instabilidade, incerteza e recess\u00e3o. Essas crises tiveram um impacto profundo em alguns pa\u00edses agr\u00edcolas, como Argentina e Ucr\u00e2nia, que tamb\u00e9m foram afetados por fen\u00f4menos clim\u00e1ticos.<\/p>\n<p>O Brasil tamb\u00e9m foi afetado, mas em uma extens\u00e3o muito menor. A agricultura brasileira responde por 26.46% do produto interno bruto do pa\u00eds, e os n\u00fameros de 2009 devem ser cerca de 7% menores (em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao PIB) em compara\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s previs\u00f5es. No entanto, a estimativa mais recente de safras colhidas em 2009 \u00e9 de 140,9 milh\u00f5es de toneladas ou 2,3% a mais que no ano anterior.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Registros de pesticidas diminuem em 2009<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A produ\u00e7\u00e3o agr\u00edcola cresceu em grande parte como resultado de mais exporta\u00e7\u00f5es, embora as receitas tenham sido menores devido \u00e0 queda nos pre\u00e7os das commodities ap\u00f3s os pre\u00e7os favor\u00e1veis das commodities em 2008. O tabaco contrariou a tend\u00eancia, que se perpetuou em grande parte devido ao d\u00f3lar mais forte, que desvalorizou a moeda local.<\/p>\n<p>Devido \u00e0 import\u00e2ncia do agroneg\u00f3cio para a economia brasileira, \u00e9 importante minimizar as interrup\u00e7\u00f5es na cadeia de suprimentos que podem prejudicar um dos neg\u00f3cios nacionais mais lucrativos. A aprova\u00e7\u00e3o do governo de pesticidas p\u00f3s-patentes permitiu a entrada de novas empresas no Brasil e refor\u00e7ou as ofertas de produtos de empresas que j\u00e1 operam no pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Hoje, as empresas de fertilizantes est\u00e3o vendo algumas oportunidades significativas. Embora existam mais de 500 empresas neste segmento, as fontes de mat\u00e9rias-primas s\u00e3o, em sua maioria, importadas. Em 2008, o Brasil importou 17 milh\u00f5es de toneladas de nutrientes, totalizando cerca de US$ $10 bilh\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>Como grande parte do fornecimento de fertilizantes est\u00e1 vindo da R\u00fassia para o Brasil, os dois governos est\u00e3o avaliando uma troca: tecnologia de fertilizantes para commodities agr\u00edcolas. A gigante brasileira de minera\u00e7\u00e3o, Vale do Rio Doce, da qual o governo brasileiro det\u00e9m a\u00e7\u00f5es, investiu $5,7 bilh\u00f5es na aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o de a\u00e7\u00f5es de empresas de fertilizantes na R\u00fassia. Para proteger o mercado local, os fabricantes brasileiros est\u00e3o fazendo lobby por um imposto antidumping sobre nitrato de am\u00f4nio da Ucr\u00e2nia e da R\u00fassia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"subhead\">Agora exportando experi\u00eancia<\/p>\n<p>Dada a reputa\u00e7\u00e3o do Brasil em produtividade e efici\u00eancia agr\u00edcola ao redor do mundo, o pa\u00eds est\u00e1 agora come\u00e7ando a exportar parte de sua tecnologia e know-how. O Brasil assinou um acordo com pa\u00edses africanos (Benin, Burkina Faso, Chade e Mali) para transferir tecnologia para o cultivo de algod\u00e3o. O Brasil tamb\u00e9m tem um acordo com Angola para auxiliar no cultivo de feij\u00e3o, arroz, milho, soja e vegetais. Outros projetos se referem \u00e0 cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar e moagem. As empresas brasileiras s\u00e3o importantes para os produtores de soja e arroz no Uruguai, Argentina, Paraguai e Bol\u00edvia. Isso tamb\u00e9m est\u00e1 criando uma demanda maior por pesticidas.<\/p>\n<p>Um destaque not\u00e1vel da ind\u00fastria agr\u00edcola brasileira \u00e9 a cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar, que produz cerca de 16% da fonte de energia do pa\u00eds. O sucesso que o Brasil tem desfrutado no refino da cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar a tornou uma commodity internacional, especialmente \u00e0 medida que mais pa\u00edses estabelecem pol\u00edticas de energia verde que exigem mistura de combust\u00edvel sem a capacidade de refino ou expertise para produzir o suficiente para atender aos mandatos.<\/p>\n<p>Fortes grupos estrangeiros como Cargill, Bunge, ADM, LDC, Sojitz, Mitsui e Itochu est\u00e3o investindo pesadamente em aquisi\u00e7\u00f5es, totalizando uma participa\u00e7\u00e3o de 12,3% na moagem de cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar. Em fevereiro de 2010, a gigante Shell Oil e a Cosan, moageira local e l\u00edder mundial em moagem de cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar, assinaram um acordo para construir uma joint venture no valor de $12 bilh\u00f5es para produ\u00e7\u00e3o de etanol, a\u00e7\u00facar, energia, fornecimento, distribui\u00e7\u00e3o e vendas de combust\u00edveis. O governo emitiu recentemente uma pol\u00edtica agr\u00edcola que busca 40% de milho para ser tecnologia OGM, e j\u00e1 cultiva soja OGM em dois ter\u00e7os de sua \u00e1rea plantada.<\/p>\n<p class=\"subhead\">Armadilhas de pesticidas<\/p>\n<p>Apesar do sucesso de v\u00e1rios segmentos da ind\u00fastria, o Brasil tem seus desafios. Menos de 6% da \u00e1rea cultivada \u00e9 irrigada, os pre\u00e7os de tratores e equipamentos agr\u00edcolas s\u00e3o o dobro do custo de outros pa\u00edses com agricultura madura, e o Brasil carece de infraestrutura de armazenamento que lhe permitiria maximizar seus rendimentos. Essas defici\u00eancias podem abrir v\u00e1rias oportunidades para empreendedores desenvolverem neg\u00f3cios nesses campos.<\/p>\n<p>O valor (d\u00f3lares americanos) do mercado de pesticidas em 2009 caiu 8% em compara\u00e7\u00e3o a 2008. Em moeda local, ficou quase est\u00e1vel, com um crescimento de 1%.
