LUDWIGSHAFEN, Alemanha \u2014 Duas das plantas globais da BASF que produzem etileno e propileno fecharam devido a inc\u00eandios separados com uma semana de diferen\u00e7a. Entre 20 e 23 de dezembro, inc\u00eandios separados na planta da empresa em Antu\u00e9rpia, B\u00e9lgica, e uma de suas plantas em Ludwigshafen, Alemanha.<\/p>\n

A BASF tem outro craqueador a vapor para os materiais em Ludwigshafen, bem como outros em Nanquim, China, e Port Arthur, Texas, EUA.<\/p>\n

A planta de Antu\u00e9rpia \u00e9 uma das maiores crackers l\u00edquidas do mundo, com capacidade de produzir mais de 1 milh\u00e3o de toneladas de etileno anualmente. Ela tamb\u00e9m produz cerca de 600.000 toneladas de propileno.<\/p>\n

Apenas tr\u00eas dias antes do primeiro inc\u00eandio da empresa, a BASF anunciou que Vincent Gros suceder\u00e1 Klaus Welsch como unidade de neg\u00f3cios regional de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos da BASF na Europa.
