O Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Pa\u00eds, Terra e Neg\u00f3cios<\/a> (CLA) uniu for\u00e7as com a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o de Prote\u00e7\u00e3o de Cultivos<\/a> e outras organiza\u00e7\u00f5es l\u00edderes do Reino Unido para contatar diretamente o Primeiro-Ministro e solicitar a suspens\u00e3o da proposta de lei sobre pesticidas, que removeria pesticidas considerados perigosos se n\u00e3o utilizados corretamente. Tal remo\u00e7\u00e3o teria um efeito adverso na ind\u00fastria agr\u00edcola.<\/p>\n

O presidente da CLA, Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, afirmou: \u201cSe este projeto de regulamento se tornar lei, os agricultores do Reino Unido poder\u00e3o perder grande parte dos pesticidas que utilizam atualmente e que j\u00e1 s\u00e3o utilizados h\u00e1 muitos anos. Tal redu\u00e7\u00e3o poder\u00e1 significar que as culturas ficar\u00e3o mais vulner\u00e1veis \u00e0s doen\u00e7as que assolam periodicamente a Europa Ocidental.
