O fortalecimento dos controles ambientais na China est\u00e1 causando efeitos econ\u00f4micos em cadeia, j\u00e1 que autoridades governamentais rejeitaram bilh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares em novas f\u00e1bricas e projetos de investimento por n\u00e3o atenderem aos novos padr\u00f5es ambientais em vigor no pa\u00eds, segundo um artigo do jornal. O artigo cita um funcion\u00e1rio da ag\u00eancia reguladora ambiental chinesa SEPA, afirmando que, entre 1995 e 2005, apenas dois projetos foram reprovados pela ag\u00eancia. Em 2006, a SEPA rejeitou cerca de 110 projetos submetidos \u00e0 an\u00e1lise. At\u00e9 outubro de 2007, 187 projetos haviam sido rejeitados, representando aproximadamente US$ 1,4 trilh\u00e3o em investimentos.<\/p>\n

No entanto, as medidas de controle ainda est\u00e3o sendo implementadas, afirma o artigo. Muitos projetos n\u00e3o est\u00e3o sujeitos \u00e0 aprova\u00e7\u00e3o em n\u00edvel nacional \u2014 no passado, apenas os projetos que recebiam financiamento do governo central ou de determinados setores da ind\u00fastria precisavam de aprova\u00e7\u00e3o nacional, sendo que os demais necessitavam apenas de aprova\u00e7\u00f5es locais. Contudo, a SEPA expandiu sua influ\u00eancia por diversos meios, incluindo a exposi\u00e7\u00e3o p\u00fablica de infratores e a atua\u00e7\u00e3o conjunta com bancos para negar empr\u00e9stimos a empresas que violam as normas ambientais.<\/p>\n

A ag\u00eancia estimou que cerca de 301.000 projetos propostos que passavam pelo seu processo de aprova\u00e7\u00e3o estavam sendo rejeitados, e a maioria dos que conclu\u00edam o processo eram obrigados a fazer altera\u00e7\u00f5es para cumprir as exig\u00eancias da SEPA.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
