Este m\u00e9todo permitiria que os produtores de cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar replantassem seus campos com mais frequ\u00eancia, eliminando a degrada\u00e7\u00e3o t\u00edpica do rendimento da cultura e, portanto, levando a um ganho de rendimento de at\u00e9 15%. Tamb\u00e9m permitiria que os produtores usassem equipamentos de plantio mais leves, economizando em custos de combust\u00edvel.<\/p>\n<p>O Brasil \u00e9 l\u00edder de mercado na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar, com cerca de oito milh\u00f5es de hectares sob cultivo \u2013 2% das terras ar\u00e1veis do pa\u00eds. A produ\u00e7\u00e3o atual de cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar \u00e9 de cerca de 500 milh\u00f5es de toneladas.
