A azoxistrobina foi a primeira da classe de produtos de estrobilurina (ver tabela) de grande sucesso a ser comercializada e agora \u00e9 a subst\u00e2ncia ativa fungicida mais vendida no mundo, com vendas que excedem $1 bilh\u00f5es. Este m\u00eas, apresentamos a picoxistrobina, tamb\u00e9m descoberta pela Syngenta, mas agora comercializada pela <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dupont.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">DuPont<\/a>. O dossi\u00ea de Picoxystrobin foi submetido ao sistema de revis\u00e3o da UE e foi declarado completo em 1999. Foi inclu\u00eddo no Anexo I como uma Nova Subst\u00e2ncia Ativa em 1\u00ba de janeiro de 2004.<\/p>\n<p>Em 2006, a DuPont adquiriu direitos mundiais para picoxistrobina como parte de um acordo que tamb\u00e9m deu \u00e0 Syngenta direitos para o inseticida da DuPont, Rynaxypyr. A DuPont desenvolveu ainda mais a picoxistrobina para uso em soja na Am\u00e9rica Latina e, em 2010, a DuPont solicitou autoriza\u00e7\u00e3o para picoxistrobina como Aproach para os EUA <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ag\u00eancia de Prote\u00e7\u00e3o Ambiental (EPA)<\/a> para uso em milho, soja, cereais, feij\u00f5es secos, ervilhas e canola. O lan\u00e7amento nos EUA \u00e9 esperado para 2012. A DuPont estimou o potencial de vendas de pico de pico para picoxistrobina em $150 milh\u00f5es.<strong><br \/> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Picoxystrobin est\u00e1 atualmente registrado em cerca de 28 pa\u00edses, incluindo: Argentina, \u00c1ustria, B\u00e9lgica, Brasil, Col\u00f4mbia, Rep\u00fablica Tcheca, Dinamarca, Est\u00f4nia, Finl\u00e2ndia, Fran\u00e7a, Alemanha, Hungria, Irlanda, Qu\u00eania, Let\u00f4nia, Litu\u00e2nia, Holanda, Nova Zel\u00e2ndia, Noruega, Pol\u00f4nia, Rom\u00eania, Eslov\u00e1quia, \u00c1frica do Sul, Su\u00e9cia e Reino Unido. O registro est\u00e1 em andamento nos EUA, It\u00e1lia e Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>A picoxistrobina \u00e9 comercializada como um fungicida de ingrediente \u00fanico e tamb\u00e9m em diversas misturas com outros fungicidas, incluindo: ciproconazol (Furlong, Stinger e Aproach Prima); clorotalonil (Credo e Plinker); e ciprodinil (Acanto Prima).<\/p>\n<p class=\"subhead\">Superando barreiras \u00e0 entrada<\/p>\n<p>Claramente, a picoxistrobina \u00e9 um AS alvo atraente para empresas fora de patente, mas qu\u00e3o f\u00e1cil ser\u00e1 para essas empresas ganharem uma fatia significativa do mercado? Para responder a isso, precisamos avaliar onde existem as principais barreiras \u00e0 entrada no mercado.<\/p>\n<p>A UE reconheceu que uma eros\u00e3o significativa nos termos efetivos de patentes existia para produtos farmac\u00eauticos. Isso resultou em um per\u00edodo de exclusividade de mercado insuficiente para recuperar os custos substanciais de P&amp;D e, como resultado, os Certificados de Prote\u00e7\u00e3o Suplementar (SPCs) foram introduzidos em 1992. Os SPCs d\u00e3o at\u00e9 cinco anos de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de patente adicional ao prazo normal de 20 anos e, como resultado de um amplo lobby pelo setor de P&amp;D agroqu\u00edmico, os SPCs se tornaram lei para agroqu\u00edmicos em 1996.<\/p>\n<p>Na UE, a picoxistrobina \u00e9 protegida pela EP0447004 (e algumas patentes nacionais) que expiraram em 14 de janeiro de 2008. Na \u00c1ustria, B\u00e9lgica, Su\u00ed\u00e7a, Alemanha, Dinamarca, Gr\u00e3-Bretanha, Hungria, Irlanda, Luxemburgo, Holanda e Rom\u00eania, foram concedidos SPCs que fornecem prote\u00e7\u00e3o adicional at\u00e9 2013. Al\u00e9m desses pa\u00edses, a picoxistrobina \u00e9 registrada na Rep\u00fablica Tcheca, Est\u00f4nia, Finl\u00e2ndia, Fran\u00e7a, Litu\u00e2nia, Let\u00f4nia, Pol\u00f4nia, Su\u00e9cia e Eslov\u00e1quia. N\u00e3o foram concedidos SPCs para esses pa\u00edses que est\u00e3o abertos \u00e0 concorr\u00eancia gen\u00e9rica desde 2008. No entanto, quest\u00f5es de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de dados impediram a entrada no mercado de gen\u00e9ricos.<\/p>\n<p>A picoxistrobina foi inclu\u00edda no Anexo I em 1\u00ba de janeiro de 2004 e o per\u00edodo de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de dados expira 10 anos ap\u00f3s essa data. O diagrama de linha do tempo mostra o per\u00edodo de exclusividade de mercado na UE para produtos baseados em picoxistrobina AS \u00fanica. Embora em alguns pa\u00edses da UE n\u00e3o haja prote\u00e7\u00e3o de patente existente, os concorrentes gen\u00e9ricos precisariam gerar um pacote de dados completo, negociar um acordo de compensa\u00e7\u00e3o de dados ou esperar at\u00e9 que a prote\u00e7\u00e3o de dados termine em 2014 para ganhar entrada no mercado.<\/p>\n<p>Muitas patentes para produtos de mistura contendo picoxistrobina foram registradas, mas, na pr\u00e1tica, apenas tr\u00eas produtos de mistura parecem ser de interesse comercial:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Picoxistrobina + ciproconazol<\/strong> \u2014 Os CEPs foram concedidos em tr\u00eas pa\u00edses, estendendo a prote\u00e7\u00e3o at\u00e9 2013.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Picoxistrobina + ciprodinil<\/strong> \u2014 Os CEPs foram concedidos em quatro pa\u00edses, estendendo a prote\u00e7\u00e3o at\u00e9 2013.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Picoxistrobina + clorotalonil <\/strong>\u2014 um SPC foi concedido na Gr\u00e3-Bretanha estendendo a prote\u00e7\u00e3o at\u00e9 2013.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Nos EUA, a DuPont solicitou o registro de picoxistrobina em uma variedade de culturas, uma decis\u00e3o sobre isso est\u00e1 marcada para 12 de maio de 2012 e, se concedido, um per\u00edodo de 10 anos de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de dados existir\u00e1. Quando a DuPont adquiriu os direitos mundiais da picoxistrobina (pura e misturas) em 2006, tamb\u00e9m foi acordado que a Syngenta continuaria a fabricar picoxistrobina por mais tr\u00eas anos.<\/p>\n<p>A qu\u00edmica e a tecnologia envolvidas na fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o de picoxistrobina s\u00e3o relativamente diretas. A disponibilidade de intermedi\u00e1rios-chave \u00e9 uma considera\u00e7\u00e3o importante ao avaliar o qu\u00e3o f\u00e1cil \u00e9 para empresas gen\u00e9ricas fabricar uma subst\u00e2ncia ativa. No caso da picoxistrobina, dois intermedi\u00e1rios s\u00e3o essenciais para o processo:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>2-hidroxi-6 trifluorometilpiridina <\/strong>\u2014 este intermedi\u00e1rio n\u00e3o \u00e9 usado na s\u00edntese de outros agroqu\u00edmicos e sua obten\u00e7\u00e3o pode ser um problema; alternativamente, os fabricantes gen\u00e9ricos podem fabric\u00e1-lo internamente a partir de 2-cloro-6-metilpiridina<\/li>\n<li><strong>2-metil benzil cianeto <\/strong>\u2014 esse intermedi\u00e1rio tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 usado na s\u00edntese do acaricida da Nippon Soda, o fluacripirim.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Embora os mercados da UE e dos EUA estejam fechados \u00e0 concorr\u00eancia de gen\u00e9ricos no curto prazo, v\u00e1rios outros mercados, como Brasil, Col\u00f4mbia, Nova Zel\u00e2ndia e \u00c1frica do Sul, podem estar dispon\u00edveis, e ser\u00e1 interessante ver se os concorrentes gen\u00e9ricos usar\u00e3o esses mercados para ganhar presen\u00e7a antes da abertura dos mercados da UE e dos EUA.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nosso primeiro perfil, publicado em fevereiro, apresentou a azoxistrobina, que foi descoberta e desenvolvida pela ICI (agora Syngenta).
