O Instituto de Fertilizantes (TFI) anunciou que Christopher L. Jahn foi nomeado presidente. Jahn chega ao TFI vindo da Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Nacional de Distribuidores de Produtos Qu\u00edmicos (NACD), onde atuava como presidente desde 2006. A mudan\u00e7a entrar\u00e1 em vigor em 9 de setembro.<\/p>\n

\u201cA experi\u00eancia de Chris nas \u00e1reas de seguran\u00e7a, meio ambiente e administra\u00e7\u00e3o de produtos fortalecer\u00e1 a atua\u00e7\u00e3o da TFI em prol da ind\u00fastria de fertilizantes\u201d, disse o presidente da TFI, Jim Prokopanko. \u201cEle demonstrou a capacidade de aprimorar o perfil de uma associa\u00e7\u00e3o comercial, construindo consenso dentro da comunidade de membros e com organiza\u00e7\u00f5es aliadas com ideias semelhantes. Ele ser\u00e1 um grande trunfo para o Instituto, enquanto buscamos fortalecer ainda mais a voz de nossos membros em Washington, D.C.\u201d<\/p>\n

Durante sua gest\u00e3o na NACD, Jahn liderou iniciativas bem-sucedidas com o objetivo de expandir o papel da associa\u00e7\u00e3o nas esferas legislativa e regulat\u00f3ria. Por meio de sua lideran\u00e7a, a NACD refor\u00e7ou o perfil e a efic\u00e1cia da Distribui\u00e7\u00e3o Respons\u00e1vel, um programa de verifica\u00e7\u00e3o terceirizado que exige que os membros aprimorem continuamente o desempenho em atividades ambientais, de sa\u00fade, seguran\u00e7a e prote\u00e7\u00e3o. Antes de ingressar na NACD, Jahn foi presidente da Associa\u00e7\u00e3o de Servi\u00e7os Contratados e, antes disso, chefe de gabinete do senador dos Estados Unidos Craig Thomas (Republicano-Wyoming).<\/p>\n

\u201cEstou feliz por ingressar na TFI e entusiasmado por representar a ind\u00fastria de fertilizantes, t\u00e3o vital para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o mundial de alimentos\u201d, disse Jahn. \u201cEstou ansioso para trabalhar com os membros da TFI para expandir o alcance da organiza\u00e7\u00e3o junto aos formuladores de pol\u00edticas e ao p\u00fablico em geral.\u201d<\/p>\n
