Apesar do ataque, Punjab ainda tem esperan\u00e7a de uma safra abundante durante a temporada de comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o de Rabi 2009\/10, mesmo com pouco mais de vinte dias restantes antes do in\u00edcio da temporada de aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o de trigo.<\/p>\n

O fungo da ferrugem amarela atacou extensivamente a safra de trigo do Punjab em \u00e1reas submontanas no m\u00eas passado, prejudicando principalmente duas
variedades de trigo \u2013 PBW 343 e PBW 502 \u2014 que representam cerca de 80% da \u00e1rea total cultivada com trigo. <\/p>\n

De acordo com Universidade Agr\u00edcola de Punjab <\/a>Indu Sharma, \u201ceste (ataque de ferrugem amarela) foi o mais severo no trigo
