Com base em recursos recentemente aprimorados na regi\u00e3o, a empresa de pesquisa GfK estimou o valor do mercado de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos da China em $14 bilh\u00f5es no n\u00edvel do agricultor, tornando-o o maior do mundo de longe.<\/p>\n

O n\u00famero representa um aumento substancial em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s avalia\u00e7\u00f5es do ano anterior, devido \u00e0 cobertura mais abrangente de todo o mercado, bem como \u00e0 crescente intensifica\u00e7\u00e3o, afirmou a GfK. Em contraste, o segundo maior mercado, o Brasil, \u00e9 avaliado em $11,2 bilh\u00f5es, segundo a GfK.<\/p>\n

Para chegar \u00e0 nova descoberta, o novo estudo "aplicou uma abordagem extremamente robusta", reunindo v\u00e1rios conjuntos de dados do governo, seus dados de painel existentes em n\u00edvel de fazenda na China - que cobrem aproximadamente 50% do mercado - e entrevistas expandidas com agricultores e varejistas em todo o pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

\u201cAgora que entendemos mais claramente a enorme oportunidade que a China representa, a necessidade de insights e compreens\u00e3o desse mercado se tornou ainda mais urgente\u201d, disse Ai Chen Kueh, chefe de Sa\u00fade Animal e Vegetal na regi\u00e3o da GfK.<\/p>\n

\u201cO mercado chin\u00eas de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos tem sido extremamente din\u00e2mico nos \u00faltimos 10 anos\u201d, disse Kueh Produtos qu\u00edmicos agr\u00edcolas internacionais<\/i>. No n\u00edvel de faturamento, isso \u00e9 indicado por grandes ganhos em termos da \u00e1rea total dispon\u00edvel para agricultura, disse ela. Por exemplo, dados do Minist\u00e9rio da Agricultura no Anu\u00e1rio Estat\u00edstico Rural da China de 2012 mostram que a \u00e1rea total plantada para todas as culturas aumentou 6,4%, de 152,4 milh\u00f5es de ha em 2003 para 162,2 milh\u00f5es de ha em 2011, com ajustes pelo menos iguais para produtividade e rendimento.<\/p>\n

V\u00e1rios indicadores e fontes indicam que o pr\u00f3prio mercado de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos tamb\u00e9m passou por r\u00e1pidas mudan\u00e7as e crescimento, disse Kueh. Os gastos com prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos est\u00e3o aumentando, de acordo com as conclus\u00f5es da Comiss\u00e3o Nacional de Desenvolvimento e Reforma, que monitora anualmente os insumos agr\u00edcolas em uma ampla amostra de propriedades rurais na China. Os gastos com arroz, por exemplo, quase dobraram de CNY 333 ($54) por ha em 2002 para 634 ($104) por ha em 2011.<\/p>\n

As culturas de frutas e vegetais de alto valor apresentaram as maiores taxas de aumento de gastos por hectare entre 2008 e 2011, com os custos de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de culturas c\u00edtricas por hectare aumentando 53% de CNY 3.737 ($613) em 2008 para CNY 5.745 ($943) em 2011. A GfK disse que os n\u00fameros coletados em 2012 no n\u00edvel do agricultor usando t\u00e9cnicas multimodais se encaixam nesse padr\u00e3o geral.<\/p>\n

Os fatores espec\u00edficos que contribu\u00edram para essa mudan\u00e7a dr\u00e1stica nas estimativas do tamanho do mercado, afirma a GfK, incluem a transforma\u00e7\u00e3o das pol\u00edticas e objetivos governamentais; a taxa de c\u00e2mbio; a escala da \u00e1rea de cultivo da agricultura chinesa; a estrutura da ind\u00fastria agr\u00edcola e o tamanho das fazendas; as tend\u00eancias na intensidade do uso de defensivos agr\u00edcolas; os tipos de cultivos e o uso respectivo de defensivos agr\u00edcolas; a produ\u00e7\u00e3o nacional de defensivos agr\u00edcolas; o consumo em n\u00edvel de fazenda e sua rela\u00e7\u00e3o com o canal. Outros fatores que contribuem para as diferentes vis\u00f5es sobre o mercado s\u00e3o o tamanho relativo das vendas de fabricantes nacionais em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com as multinacionais, a complexidade e as margens do canal e as grandes vendas de produtos "menos vis\u00edveis", como herbicidas.<\/p>\n

Em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 metodologia do estudo, Kueh disse que foi adotada uma abordagem multimodal usando seis metodologias e fontes de dados complementares diferentes: 1.) pesquisa em n\u00edvel de fazenda a partir de seus estudos de painel anuais sobre as principais culturas, como arroz, milho e vegetais; 2.) pesquisa em n\u00edvel de fazenda sobre culturas secund\u00e1rias, como algod\u00e3o, pera, tabaco, etc., conduzida de forma ad hoc; 3.) verifica\u00e7\u00f5es em lojas de varejo em 27 prov\u00edncias; 4.) O conjunto de dados do Comit\u00ea Nacional de Desenvolvimento e Reforma; 5.) Dados da autoridade nacional de registro; e (6.) rede de especialistas, consultores e assessores agr\u00edcolas em diferentes prov\u00edncias da China.<\/p>\n
