As vendas de novos produtos de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de cultivos cresceram 14% no trimestre.<\/p><\/div>\n

Os fortes ganhos em vendas da Dow AgroSciences impulsionaram o lucro da gigante qu\u00edmica no segundo trimestre, impulsionados pela demanda por inseticidas e herbicidas na Am\u00e9rica Latina.<\/p>\n

A Dow AgroSciences registrou vendas recordes no per\u00edodo, de quase $1,9 bilh\u00e3o, um aumento de 10% em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao ano anterior. O volume aumentou 9% e o pre\u00e7o subiu 1%. A Am\u00e9rica Latina apresentou os maiores ganhos de volume entre todas as regi\u00f5es geogr\u00e1ficas.<\/p>\n

As vendas de defensivos agr\u00edcolas aumentaram 121 TP3T, com aumentos em todas as \u00e1reas geogr\u00e1ficas, com destaque para a Am\u00e9rica Latina, com aumento nas vendas de inseticidas e herbicidas. As vendas de novos defensivos agr\u00edcolas cresceram 141 TP3T no trimestre.<\/p>\n

As vendas de sementes, caracter\u00edsticas e \u00f3leos aumentaram 41 TP3T no trimestre e subiram 231 TP3T no primeiro semestre do ano, impulsionadas pela demanda por h\u00edbridos de milho SmartStax.<\/p>\n

O EBITDA do segmento foi de $290 milh\u00f5es, abaixo dos $307 milh\u00f5es do ano anterior, refletindo uma mudan\u00e7a nos padr\u00f5es de compra sazonais e maiores investimentos.<\/p>\n

Para a Dow como um todo, as despesas com pesquisa e desenvolvimento (P&D) aumentaram 3% em compara\u00e7\u00e3o ao mesmo per\u00edodo do ano passado, em grande parte devido aos aumentos nos investimentos priorizados no pipeline de tecnologia \u2014 principalmente em Ci\u00eancias Agr\u00e1rias.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
