{"id":52717,"date":"2015-02-17T11:23:07","date_gmt":"2015-02-17T16:23:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.farmchemicalsinternational.com\/?p=52717"},"modified":"2015-02-17T11:23:07","modified_gmt":"2015-02-17T16:23:07","slug":"fao-global-fertilizer-use-to-grow-1-8-a-year-through-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.agribusinessglobal.com\/pt\/agrochemicals\/fao-global-fertilizer-use-to-grow-1-8-a-year-through-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"FAO: Uso global de fertilizantes deve crescer 1,8% por ano at\u00e9 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>O uso global de fertilizantes dever\u00e1 ultrapassar 200,5 milh\u00f5es de toneladas em 2018, 25% acima do registado em 2008, de acordo com um relat\u00f3rio <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fao.org\/3\/a-i4324e.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">relat\u00f3rio<\/a> da Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas para a Alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o e a Agricultura.<\/p>\n<p>O consumo mundial de fertilizantes crescer\u00e1 1,8% por ano at\u00e9 2018, segundo novo relat\u00f3rio da FAO <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fao.org\/3\/a-i4324e.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cTend\u00eancias e perspectivas mundiais de fertilizantes para 2018.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ao mesmo tempo, \u201ca capacidade global de produtos fertilizantes, intermedi\u00e1rios e mat\u00e9rias-primas aumentar\u00e1 ainda mais\u201d, disse o relat\u00f3rio.<\/p>\n<p>Como o potencial de produ\u00e7\u00e3o de fertilizantes ultrapassar\u00e1 seu uso, o equil\u00edbrio potencial global \u2014 um termo t\u00e9cnico que mede a quantidade dispon\u00edvel em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 demanda real \u2014 aumentar\u00e1 para nitrog\u00eanio, fosfato e pot\u00e1ssio, os tr\u00eas principais fertilizantes do solo, disse a FAO.<\/p>\n<p>O uso global de nitrog\u00eanio, de longe a maior base de fertilizantes, est\u00e1 projetado para aumentar 1,4% a cada ano at\u00e9 2018, enquanto o uso de fosfato aumentar\u00e1 2,2% e o de pot\u00e1ssio 2,6%. Em compara\u00e7\u00e3o, o fornecimento desses tr\u00eas componentes cr\u00edticos deve crescer em 3,7%, 2,7% e 4,2% por ano, respectivamente, de acordo com o relat\u00f3rio de perspectivas da FAO.<\/p>\n<p>O relat\u00f3rio n\u00e3o prev\u00ea pre\u00e7os futuros, mas observa que os pre\u00e7os dos fertilizantes, ap\u00f3s um aumento em 2011, estavam amplamente mais baixos em meados de 2014 do que em 2010.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nitrog\u00eanio: crescimento e volume<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>De acordo com a FAO, espera-se que a demanda por fertilizantes de nitrog\u00eanio cres\u00e7a mais r\u00e1pido na \u00c1frica Subsaariana, em 4,6% por ano. No entanto, como o uso atual l\u00e1 \u00e9 baixo, a regi\u00e3o usar\u00e1 em 2018 apenas 340.000 toneladas adicionais de nitrog\u00eanio do que em 2014, respondendo por menos de cinco por cento do aumento global projetado.<\/p>\n<p>No Leste e Sul da \u00c1sia, que juntos respondem por 60% de todo o uso de fertilizantes nitrogenados, o crescimento nos pr\u00f3ximos quatro anos ser\u00e1 moderado, mas representar\u00e1 3,3 milh\u00f5es de toneladas adicionais em termos de volume.<\/p>\n<p>Espera-se que os agricultores norte-americanos usem 300.000 toneladas adicionais de fertilizante de nitrog\u00eanio em 2018, refletindo uma taxa de crescimento anual de 0,5%, enquanto os agricultores da Europa Ocidental devem reduzir seu uso em 50.000 toneladas, de acordo com as proje\u00e7\u00f5es da FAO.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Novas op\u00e7\u00f5es para solo saud\u00e1vel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aplicar fertilizantes \u00e9 uma maneira de repor o nitrog\u00eanio que \u00e9 removido dos solos quando as planta\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o colhidas. Embora o uso extensivo de nitrog\u00eanio possa acarretar desperd\u00edcio e danificar os recursos h\u00eddricos, o enorme aumento no uso de fertilizantes ajudou a impulsionar uma r\u00e1pida expans\u00e3o na produtividade agr\u00edcola na era p\u00f3s-guerra.<\/p>\n<p>Em um extremo, o uso excessivo de fertilizantes em alguns lugares levou \u00e0 polui\u00e7\u00e3o do solo na forma de deposi\u00e7\u00e3o de nitrog\u00eanio e, em alguns casos, danificou os sistemas de \u00e1gua. No outro, na maioria das partes da \u00c1frica subsaariana, o uso insuficiente de fertilizantes significa que os nutrientes retirados do solo pelas planta\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o est\u00e3o sendo repostos, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fao.org\/ag\/save-and-Grow\/en\/3\/index.html\" target=\"_top\">levando \u00e0 degrada\u00e7\u00e3o da terra e ao decl\u00ednio da produtividade<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>O uso de rota\u00e7\u00f5es de culturas adaptadas localmente, cobertura morta e esterco tamb\u00e9m pode restaurar o nitrog\u00eanio aos solos. Algumas plantas, notavelmente leguminosas como a soja, t\u00eam microrganismos em seus sistemas de ra\u00edzes que retiram nitrog\u00eanio do ar e o disponibilizam para as plantas.<\/p>\n<p>A FAO tamb\u00e9m desenvolveu m\u00e9todos para monitorar as condi\u00e7\u00f5es das colheitas em tempo real, permitindo decis\u00f5es personalizadas sobre a quantidade de fertilizante necess\u00e1ria. M\u00e9todos precisos de aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de fertilizante, em oposi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 transmiss\u00e3o, tamb\u00e9m reduzem o desperd\u00edcio e os danos causados pelo escoamento de nitrog\u00eanio.<\/p>\n<p>2015 foi designado como o Ano Internacional dos Solos, durante o qual a FAO est\u00e1 trabalhando com seus parceiros para envolver o p\u00fablico em torno da necessidade de gerenciar de forma sustent\u00e1vel esse recurso essencial para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de alimentos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mapeando tend\u00eancias de fertilizantes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>O uso de fertilizantes variar\u00e1 muito conforme a geografia nos pr\u00f3ximos anos, com a \u00c1frica Subsaariana registrando uma demanda robusta por nitrog\u00eanio e pot\u00e1ssio, embora com baixos n\u00edveis de uso atuais.<\/p>\n<p>A \u00c1sia como um todo \u00e9 o maior consumidor de fertilizantes do mundo e depende de importa\u00e7\u00f5es de todos os tr\u00eas principais nutrientes. Esse \u00e9 o caso mesmo que a \u00c1sia Ocidental continue a fornecer um importante excedente de nitrog\u00eanio, fosfato e pot\u00e1ssio.<\/p>\n<p>A Europa como um todo tamb\u00e9m oferecer\u00e1 um excedente de todos os tr\u00eas nutrientes devido aos grandes saldos positivos na Europa Oriental e na \u00c1sia Central. Espera-se que o uso de fertilizantes at\u00e9 2018 fique est\u00e1vel na Europa Ocidental, enquanto cresce 3,6% por ano na sub-regi\u00e3o mais oriental.<\/p>\n<p>A Am\u00e9rica Latina e o Caribe depender\u00e3o das importa\u00e7\u00f5es de todos os tr\u00eas durante o per\u00edodo previsto, durante o qual o uso de fertilizantes na regi\u00e3o dever\u00e1 crescer a uma taxa anual robusta de 3,3%, de acordo com a FAO.<\/p>\n<p>As diferen\u00e7as na demanda total por nitrog\u00eanio entre os continentes permanecer\u00e3o grandes. Em 2018, a \u00c1frica demandar\u00e1 4,1 milh\u00f5es de toneladas, a Europa 15,7 milh\u00f5es de toneladas, as Am\u00e9ricas 23,5 milh\u00f5es de toneladas e a \u00c1sia 74,2 milh\u00f5es de toneladas.<\/p>\n<p>Embora o uso geral de fertilizantes na \u00c1frica Subsaariana deva crescer a um ritmo anual de 4,7%, o mais r\u00e1pido do mundo, a \u00c1frica continuar\u00e1 sendo uma grande
